Labor is anti youth - this is the place where so many young men and women from all backgrounds learn so much about themselves and their environment with the challenge of Rock Climbing on sites like this in vic. People who make these rules obviously have no or little outdoor experience or care or knowledge of the benefit this pursuit brings in making resilient citizens with a true love of the outdoors.

No NO no , in their two hundred and fifty thousand years they developed all that tech , spray painting included but Cook stole it all when he landed in Botany bay so they would look like savages with no history.

The days of identity politics are numbered. Millions of Americans have turned their backs on this destructive form of racism, sexism and classism. I have nothing but the best wishes for the Australian people (ALL Australians) and hope they stamp out this disease quickly. It's very damaging to the economy and society.

It's certainly not dead here. That's precisely why that ban is now in place, and here the 'stupid state', they've just handed over tens of thousands of hectares of domestic surburban land to the black fellas. Identity politics is alive and thriving...which is only to be expected in such a degenerate country like Australia where children in schools are taught suck dicks in school, and women and little kids are being trafficked for sex. Yet politicians are turning themselves inside out for these 'bulltish' woke climbing bans on 'indiginous' sites...FFS?! And like someone said, 'the rainbow serpent' will change its mind IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT!!!

I'm gonna go off topic here for a bit but this Mount Arapiles situation has got me fired up and I need to get this off my chest. Firstly I want to acknowledge the previous custodians of this wide brown land who did absolutely nothing here except dream about flying turtles & albino go-annas and lived out short lives under thatched roofs and knew how to start a bush fire - well done. That aside, in my opinion as someone whose parents who migrated to this country in the 40's, I am thoroughly sick of the "aboriginal" (welfare) industry that has developed over the past 30 or more years. As a group, including those white people who claim ( but wont prove) some miniscule % of indigenosity for the sole purpose of gaining financial benefits, this industry corruptly gains hundreds of millions of dollars EACH year and there appears to be very little to show for it. Why is that? What's even worse, is that even Jacinta Price ( a legit indigenous person) has called on the government numerous times to conduct a thorough audit on where the money is going, yet the government steadfastly refuses- indicating therefore that there must definitely be some high level of corruption going on and they know who's behind it. And why wouldn't there be? The tax payer just keeps on paying. Why would vested interests in the aboriginal welfare industry kill the duck that been laying unending golden eggs? There is ZERO incentive to " fix "anything except in a very tokenistic manner and so it's far, far more lucrative to continuously ensure that there are sufficient "indigenous" ( of any %) living in some socially "deprived" area some 1000 miles from nowhere in Num-num Koonawarra land and so constantly reap the never ending river of $$$$ coming from the taxpayer. I am 100% confident that there are many prominent individuals of both aboriginal and non-aboriginal appearance with fingers and toes in many pies that are fully rorting this never ending gravy train under the guise of this "reconciliation" bullshit. The more idiot governments and their handwringing apologists pander to this industry the more they want. Its never ending. I personally don't give a toss about having "traditional connection" to land. This is the 21 century not 10000 BC. This country needs a leadership to scrap all this rubbish and fully over ride the wanky legal apologists who forever want to feed off this industry. To the aboriginal welfare industry I say this: get off your ass and strive to get your self and your children educated, strive to get a job and a career , strive to join the rest of the population in getting about the business of living instead of languishing about your delusional "traditional heritage" and constantly thinking how bad off you are because the Brits and the Dutch and who knows who else sailed to this country hundreds of years ago and set up their own law and communities actually started to DO something in this mostly vacant country as it was. I frankly don't give a hoot who was here way back then. The way human nations operate, especially back then, if you couldn't defend it, you basically lost it. Sure there was an indigenous presence here but so what? If the Poms and Dutch didn't get here, 100% guarantee that the indigenous would have done nothing in this country except dream about go-annas in the sky and if the Japanese came here instead, there likely would have been NO indigenous people left at all. Leave Mount Arapiles as it is and let the people who use it mostly enjoy it for what it is. And I challenge any flying sky go-anna or invisible ostrich or 1000 yr old deceased chief of the wacknagutnawarabinga region to come and say different.

I've been reflecting on the concerns surrounding our natural spaces, and it seems some of this stems from selfishness. For thousands of years, this landscape has thrived, supporting a rich tapestry of life. But now I ask you: Are we aware of how certain climbing activities and community behaviors are affecting this landscape? Once, this area was a vibrant ecosystem, carefully managed to protect diverse species. Today, many of those species are struggling. How can we better manage our impact? Are we truly committed to preserving the environment we love, or are we turning a blind eye and illegal activities to the harm being done? Let’s engage in a dialogue about how we can protect these precious spaces for future generations. 🌱💚
