How difficult was it to get the gated shifter to work? Mine is also the carbon fiber tub and would love to do the gated if it is semi easily accomplished.

The shifter install requires about 15 hours of modifications. Then the a whole new center tunnel needs to be made since the shifter is much wider and longer than the supplied one. Depends on how good you are at making a form and doing fiberglass work.

Couple of questions if you wouldn't mind indulging me. Is there enough room under the rear cross brace (above the transaxle) for a 180 degree set up? It doesn't look like there is. I seen one 1 of your first vids you did a 180 on a GT40. But the rear chassis is different than the SL-C's. In my 40's now I've been around domestic V8's all of my life and the sound of the 90 degree offset cranks just annoy the shit out of me anymore.... So I'm looking for reasonable options to build a SL-C but I would rather not spend more on the engine than the whole kit. Since this kit looks SO much like the 787B I thought about a 4 lobe rotary, but its cost prohibitive. Still kicking around the idea of a GM Vortech 4200 I6, Nice symmetrical sound from a cheap engine that's extremely robust. But with SOO many people having put LS based engines in these its difficult to justify the expense to meet the HP Goal + all for the custom fab necessary for a unique engine trans combo. Especially since most of the LS swap pieces are production pieces now. So now I'm looking at trying to find a flat plane crank + cam for an LS. Or maybe shoe horning a 180 degree header set up in there.

There is either a fixed full window or a 2 piece window that allows the bottom piece to come out. Or you can just remove the window completely.
