Agreed. It would have looked awful chopped, disproportionate. The giant hump in the floor needed to accommodate the suspension will already eat into its hauling capacity. Chopping it would have made it a real PITA to use to load, haul, or unload anything.

I seen a guy pulling a gooseneck trailer with a box from a old UHAUL van/truck that was converted into a camper. It still has what was left of all the decals. Had a UTV side by side on the rear of the trailer, a budget toy hauler I suppose. It made me think of your projects. I don’t like mini trucks myself, but I enjoy watching you work on these miniature box trucks.

My buddies Mom would pull us down the road in her S10. We'd be getting killer sparks off the old hood we would ride on. Hood Sledding is what we called it. I can't imagine to many parents would let there kids to that today. Glad it's still going on.
