its so true, she does just seem to get it so easy. Like him a huge metal fan now, love fairly obtuse bands like lorna shore. Tool is my favourite band and even that just sounded like noise when i started, all metal kinda did but over the years metal just gets better and better everytime i listen, i understand the rhythms, breakdonws etc being a guitarist myself i love hearing heavier and heavier riffs and more creative guitar sections with lower tuned guitars.

I thinks she's kind of undeveloped or maybe previously undiscovered musical talent. She seems to instantly understand the structure of the song, notices transitions, appreciates complexities right away which took me fucking years to appreciate. Metal is fucked up, and to actually hear the music through all the crazy and wild arrangements, you need to have an EAR. Lex has got it, probably even more than you need for simply being a fan, or listener, and that's why I believe she could probably pick up some instrument and be pretty good at it. Raining Blood is one of the most experimental/nonsensical Slayer tracks and id didn't scare Lex away, so there you have it

Top 5 worst Thrash Metal albums ever. You take away the already average Angel Of Death and Raining Blood the album is only 20 minutes of pure shit. Speed doesnt mean a thing when the album has zero good songs. Slayer is my 3rd favorite Thrash Metal band but this is their worst album. Most Thrash Metal bands their top rated albums are overrated and not good but this is just a joke. Anyone who isnt a poser with a brain knows South Of Heaven is #1 then Hell Awaits, Show No Mercy, Seasons In The Abyss.

Hell's final attack on heaven. "Piercing from bellow, souls of my treacherous past" God describing the demons/former angels that joined Satan in his rebellion. "Abolish the rules made of stone" are the 10 commandments. The entire last verse describes Satan's victory over heaven and all its dead, bleeding angels, thus raining blood. "Creating my structure" could be Satan implementing his rule/rules, or a literal structure made from the dead bodies in heaven.

I was lucky enough to see this played in 2002 the first show Dave Lombardo returned. Unfortunately it was the same day Paul Baloff died. Jan 24, 2002

I get the feeling that Lex listens to metal with a Jazz ear as Jazz musicians have to "find their way out" and what she said about being brought to the transition instead of having to find it reminded me of that.

Especially on the first go. Take in the music first and foremost. If you enjoy it enough seek to understand it further from there.

I think that's common amongst most of the reactors who grew up listening to hip hop. As the lyrics are of key importance. Whereas with metal the guitar is of key importance.

Yeah, sometimes focusing on the meaning of a song can distract a person so much that the song becomes a jumble of sound. The Beatles would even write songs with gibberish lyrics in order to first focus on the sound of their songs.

That double bass drum you're hearing from Dave Lombardo is like running a f*cking marathon to keep that up. If nothing else, Lombardo was in shape.

the thing i love the most about this band is that the lead singer is also the bassist. and bassists usually dont get a lot of credit but hes front and center

man, l love how she feels the speed , thrash and rhythm. Don't often find girls into this. Reminds of my toddler niece when I introduced her to thrash metal. She loved it first time out.

Abolish the rules made of stone. Lex looks like she'd be at home in a mosh pit and Brad looks like he'd be nervously trying to look after Lex as she goes berserk in a mosh pit. Love y'all! ❤ Ice T does an awesome cover of this song with his band Body Count.

the part you found familiar, Lil' Jon used it as the beat for his song "Stop fucking with me". Lil Jon actually used two Slayer's songs for that song.
