Thx, spoons are truly under-rated, gonna blame the US market for having mainly kastmasters for the small spoons. Missing out as trout folks loves Japanese style spoons!

Sup jimmy, damn that pond has beautiful crappie, I honestly never used a spoon and cought a crappie lol. Nice bass too, I've only cought a few on a spoon while trout fishing, I have a mepps crappie/panfish kit that has some small spoons, never opened it so maybe will throw it in my tackle box 👍, should say main tackle box lol, have a couple, 1 for each species/types of fish, and a 7tray for all which I bring on the boat lol, can imagine you have way more tactical than I do but just keeps piling up 🥵🤣, great tips and video bro, tyvm tc 🎣

That is one of my favorite lakes! Not pressured either, so it gives me great opportunity to make videos. Shallow lakes works best for spooning crappies, but during the hot season when crappies are in the shallows, u can catch em on big lakes too. Yeah my tackle piles up doing all these videos. I have 3 5 gallon buckets ready to sell this spring to local folks since I need to clear out the garage for new stuff lol

@@rawrfishing that's a great idea, clean up everything laying around and sell to local fisherman, I like that, our sportsman's club has a kids day, we all donate a lure, or plastics, tackle ect.. and give to the kids, but can only give 1🤷, no idea why tho. Good thinking

Unfortunately I am not sure. I emptied the bag into a tackle box lol. But for small spoon like these, u can pick their smallest offering. The American market doesn't have micro snaps and I assume this would be the smallest one I have purchased, so size 00

@@rawrfishing found a bunch of nice snaps for $3 for 100 pieces on aliexpress. Tiny micro snap with swivel and some without. But I found that the VMC crank bait snaps are best for spoons. Size 00

Hey! I was curious wich rod performs better overall. I am looking for a UL Setup for Spoons (1.5-4g )/ Wobbler (2-4g) /Mico Jigs with Trailer (3g+2-3g). Most of the time i am fishing with Micro-jigs on Perch/Trout, but i am more and more often spoon fishing at trout pods with some friends in the netherlands. So what do you think? Schould i get the 1. Dark Wolf Ulta + Dragon Rod (C602UL) or 2. Kastking Valiant Eagle + Dexterity II Rod (C632UL) Combo? Thank you in advance!

Dexterity rod is more of a aji style rod, making it pretty stiff at the tip. Also fragile. Most ppl would use it for jigging light open hook jigs and small plastics. I would lean towards the Dragon for your application.

I was casting spoons here as portrayed and I often use jigs 1/32 and 1/16th for my C602UL

Not opening day as I have bigger plans! I'm targeting big bass on lakes with trout stocked :) I got a few glide baits to throw lol

I nailed two bass with one lure last fall and then a slob using the slobber knocker.. Epic fall! Hopefully u can land some nice one this spring. Great time to try
