I have also extended my bedsheet to be bigger. To join them together i used the type of seam you usually see on jeans so no raw edge to fray and it doesn't matter which way you lay it on the bed since it's nice and neat on both sides. It has held very nicely for years now

On my own since the death of my husband 2 years ago. So Valentine's Day for me is time to do something special. I spent the day delivering donuts to the employees at various thrift stores and then I built a new garden just for me. Be sure you prime your hutch with something that will seal the knots so they won't show through your paint. I suggest something like Annie Sloan's Chateau Gray which is really a beautiful green.

Thank you for posting this special video. I so agree with your sentiment of self care and celebration. In 1978, having just relocated and finding myself quite on my own, I began a "tradition" of celebrating Valentine's Day for me that I carry on to this day. That year, I bought myself the most beautiful 3 dimensional card and a box of candy!! Each year, I have added to the Valentine card collection and it is so amazing now. I have a few that are over 100 years old. They bring me so much joy as well as to friends and family who visit while they are displayed.

Loving the dresser, she will look lovely when she is painted. I love a Valentine's Day present that lasts. Thrifting is always fun and that store had some lovely things. Valentine's Day was quiet for me but I did get my eyes tested and am having my frames reglazed, I also indulged in a spot of thrifting and bought myself a photo frame and a set of 4 bone china mugs which means that I can get rid of my odd mugs that I am not keen on. Dear Elise, combine the pink of your entry hall with the colour of your highboard....and add some flowery applications to the doors or the sides...i think it would look nice.
