Something that really resonated was trying to simplify in busy periods. Even without the additional responsibilities of caring for children, it is so easy to get down on yourself for not getting *everything* done during busy seasons. I feel like intentionally simplifying is such a beautiful way to unburden yourself of that mental load when it’s sinply not sustainable to do it all and still feel present in your life.

When I heard that iťs slow run towards you stepping away from KZbin, my reaction surprised me myslef. It was a physical reaction of “Ok, leťs step away together.” and the physical part was that this warmth spread in my stomach amd my shoulders relaxed. Iťs like I wanted to do this not knowing I did and you brought yet another anwswer to my life. You are very inspirational in many ways (coming from an atheist too). I will let you guide me from the algorithms. I have felt recently with other channels I was following (and there is only a handful) that it’s less and less of natural content. And I quit two of the three motherhood channels I have been following in past 5 years since my son was born. Your was the last one I felt like still gives me something. That still speaks to me. Thanks for knowing the value of honest content. I will be here till the last vido you make but I think that’s it for me as well.

It's sad that short form content is taking over and affecting everyone's attention spans. I do think there will always be an interest in longer videos, especially those who like vlogs and a cinematic style. It may be more of a niche audience, I'm not sure. I feel like short form content can only go so far, and maintaining a connection with your audience will be tough. You could always do Patreon and at least there's a bit more privacy & control there.

Baby's socks are white. They all go in one basket so I don't have to sort or fold socks, just throw all kid socks in the basket because they all look different enough that I can easily just grab 2 that go together. I am going through a diastasis Recti program too and understand. I never had this issue with my other kids. I am glad you have been going through healing through what you are using. Can't wait to see the kids' rooms all done in time! Aw. I mean, make whatever content you want to wherever you want to. You are doing what is best for you and your family. That is nice that someone goes through your comments. I have been coming here for almost two years with regular comments and never received a response, but I understand that completely. I know what it is like to have a family and not really be into putting attention into online things compared to your family. You are a wonderful mom and wife. Keep it up! Good job on the minimal screen time! It is so important to do that. My teens were NEVER allowed to touch my phone and they still never do! I taught them it is a tool for me to contact friends that have moved away and family and they respected that. It breaks my heart watching moms hand their phones to their kids constantly.

Not sure if someone else commented but if you are getting all over your kids white socks, instead of different color sharpies, maybe put a roman numeral for each kid, that way when #1 sock gets passed down to #2(and so on and so forth), you just add an extra tally! I appreciate your sharing how the screen break has been going with your children. We have been on a screen break with our children for over a week now (now that I think of it, YOU were probably the one who planted that idea in my mind!), and I have been experiencing a similar result. The kids used to pester me more with complaints of boredom or requests for shows/games, and I’d often give in to make it easier for myself (fellow introverted, quiet-loving mama here). Now, however, they entertain themselves all day with crafts and playing (beyond needing help with school or chores). It’s the opposite of what I would have expected, and it’s WONDERFUL!

To the moderator - thanks for taking on this comment section to pass on encouragements!! Super appreciated. As a new mum from London keen to lean into many of the things you have spoken about but without much support in this way from church family (no axe to grind, just London life is not quite the same vibe as you can imagine!) I find your perspective hugely helpful and refreshing and you bring up good things to remind me of stuff I also either care about or want to care more about (or less about, like other people's comments aha!) Obviously if YT comes to a halt it will be the right thing, but just to pipe up as probably a silent majority... I'm also not on TikTok and here for the long form chatty content as an 'older spiritual sister'... even though you may be younger in age than me (!) not sure aha, HUGE thanks for all you have blessed this platform for - I hope it continues but only as much as it makes sense for you before the Lord. Huge thanks for the vids! :D Rachel from London x

KZbin being oversaturated is so true. There are too many who would like to make this their living, and so there is much copying of others' content and too much talk about nothing. Also, seeing and hearing the same few aggressive brands advertised on every channel is tiring. Honestly, I don't follow newbies' channels even if I like them - which is unfair, I know - but the chance that they quit because they drown in algorythms or they realize it is not their thing for some reason is too high. It is frustrating when people disappear and you don't know what became of them.

Hey Delilah! In regards to your sock system, I have an idea... If you use a green stripe for Eloise, it then means when she grows out of that, it's going to need another color for the next child and so on. Eventually Anna-Beth will get a sock with 4 strips on it. I'm proposing dots. One dot for your first child, two dots for your next, three dots for the third child and so on. Means you only need one colour texta too, and socks don't end up with coloured squiggles, only little dots. Anyways love your longer form content, more than the face paced content so hoping you stick around with KZbin :) xx love all the way from Australia

We are having our 3rd baby and will move our two boys into a room together. When we do the transition theyll be 4 and 18 months. They will be using the IKEA Kura bed, with the younger boy on the bottom. I am so nervous! How do you manage bedtime- do your older two go to bed at the same time as William? How do you do quiet time when the youngest needs to nap but not the older one (ex. doing quiet time in another space)? How to keep the 18 month old in bed when he's no longer contained in a crib? What are some of the common challenges? How do you address if one child keeps the other up? My oldest chats for a long time before falling asleep, but my youngest just goes to sleep in silence at his current age. I want to know all your tips!

🙋🏼♀For those of you who got discouraged by her thoughts on KZbin- don't worry! KZbin always took work to build and make profitable and it's definitely not going anywhere. It's still the 2nd top search engine in the world and there is a movement back towards slow-form content that many people miss. With 122 million active KZbin viewers per day, you will find people who love your form of content. Be encouraged that if it's your dream, you can still make it happen. :) I think it's less of what she is saying and more so that creators are getting burnt-out and not realizing just how much money they are making for the amount of work put in. Especially compared to how hard the majority of people in the world are having to work just to make a basic living. KZbin is not just about money either. The world needs more encouragement and love in this crazy world! 💕
