I've seen them live. He sounds EXACTLY like that live. People think it's effects but it's not. There are effects for stylistic enhancements but the singing itself is 100 percent legit.

Back in 2017, in a rare interview, Vessel said : “Life is dark. Life is bright. Life is ugly. Life is beautiful. Don’t get lost in genres, they’ll only disorientate you. Music is for everyone.” IMO, it’s this conviction that makes experiencing Sleep Token so transcendent.

Vessel isn't a musician in the traditional sense. He is a composer. Instead of a full orchestra, he uses genere bending and key, chord, and melody changes as tools to tell a story. Truly masterful composition. Not a single sound or effect is unjustified. Worship!

This is easily my favorite song on the album. Vessel and II are who write all the music. Vessel writes the lyrics and collectively the two of them put everything else together II is the drummer if you didn't know, sorry I should've clarified

i don't want too discredit II at all but from what i've heard, vessel solely does everything else himself except the drums and some of the post work. Vessel is credited for guitar, bass, piano on basically every song in their discography. dude is an absolute genius along with II's drumming just makes the most out of this world music you'll ever hear

I think from a songwriting perspective, this is their best yet. Not necessarily their best song, but I can absolutely see music teachers using this song in their classes. It's so cleverly put together, so much attention to detail and structured so brilliantly. From the same album I think the closer Euclid is up there too as the second best on the record. One of their heavier songs Hypnosis is also incredibly well written. They don't play by the rules and that's one of the things people like about this band. Nice reaction, I hope you do more, and delve into their back catalogue. It's very varied :)

I also think ( this is just a theory ) that they might be a little homophobic, Ghost and Sleep Token do a little bit of tom foolery on stage grabbing or sensually riding one another during some performances more than likely because it sends white girls absolutely nuts. can’t put these guys in a box 😉 a part of me wishes I was a first time listener of ST for this album, but also maybe not because you did mention how overwhelming Take Me Back To Eden was lmao. truly a one of a kind band. this album put some energy back into me that I’ve been missing and needing for awhile. if you haven’t picked a next song, I’d recommend just going from the beginning of the album to the end. maybe checking out The Night Does Not Belong To God before the rest of the album since they do a call back to that song in Euclid, the closer, and you might appreciate the evolution of the band as well as the evolution of that specific song in the context of Euclid. excited to watch you listen to more of them regardless

You've probably already done this by now, but in your own time just go back and listen through the songs and let them run through you and enjoy the ride. BUT ON YOUR channel, do WHATEVER TF YOU WANT cuz its your video. That's why I subbed to your TMBTE reaction video, I really appreciated your musical knowledge. You were following the hints and notes they were dropping, so when the time came at @9:12 you knew EXACTLY what was about to go down, and that's what I'm here for. I LOVED IT! Whoever yells at you for pausing needs to just go listen to the song. You’ve got a lot of value to add to what you’re hearing, so please pause or go back as much or whenever you like! Have you heard The Summoning yet? If not, pack a lunch. You’ll have lots to talk about listening to that one. 😁 Oh, and there are very few Sleep Token songs built with a traditional structure. Subbing! If you hadn’t already guessed, Vessel is well spoken and they’re from England. One of the few bands I know where the accent is used to enhance the vocals. He’s exceptional.

Your confusion is so cool to see. Somehow I don't have that with Sleep Token (only know them for 6 months now). Pause when you need to, homie. Your analysis is unique, thoughtful, and interesting. Just drop a warning at the start that you pause a lot. Some people get mad about you breaking the "flow" or whatever, but you are definitely a strong enough musician to remember whats going on, and the insights you give in the pauses are worth it. The pauses are what make reaction videos, otherwise it's just watching someone listen to music haha! I know the negative comments are loud but I promise if you curate the right crowd those comments will get drowned out by other people who actually want to have constructive conversation. I also want to reccomend another band from this label, "holding absence" is very different but super super talented. They are early 20s and playing super tight post hardcore. They don't do numbers for reactions but I absolutely adore the band

Bit late to the party in terms of your reaction, but like the top comment says never apologize for pausing. You're a reaction channel and we're here for your thoughts and reaction. It also seems like you have more of a musical/engineering background than a lot of channels I watch so it's fun to hear the nuances you hear as opposed to you just making the stupid O face during a breakdown. You also rewind before you go back in so I think you're doing a really great job. Keep it up and don't apologize for pausing. Like most people have said if you want to listen to it without pauses just go listen to the song yourself.
