Vessel's voice (the singer--who also plays all the instruments on the recorded album besides the drums) is what initially caught my attention when I heard Sleep Token. The guy has such a rich texture in his voice and the way he incorporates his breaths into the song as emotional triggers--the sighs, gasps, frustrated exhales--just draws you in. I've since become enthralled with II's drumming, but damn, Vessel has such a unique voice and delivery. Makes their music really stand out.

Drumeo also has an older video before Sleep Token really blew up where they have Greyson Nekrutman (who I think is touring with Sepultura now) make up his own percussion to the drumless track for this song. It's honestly how I got introduced to the Sleep Token and it is pretty fun watch too.

The way Vessel puts all of his emotion into the singing is outstanding. You can feel all the devotion, passion and desperation he wants to deliver. Not everyone likes that, but once you got used to it, you can become addicted to their music. And the lyrics are also something else. If you liked this one, you should definitely check out The Summoning, Take Me Back To Eden or Ascensionism. Not long after this you will have a lot of likes and new followers, cause Sleep Token Fans love to watch other people react to the band, especially when the reactor has some musical skills or knowledge like you.
