I've watched the build through mate and you've done a great job. I keep goldfish in a 180 litre tank (puddle compared to this 😂) and they're about ready for a pond now so as a first time ponder I've learned a lot from your videos 👍

@@dannycurrie1 Yh exactly. I think I'll do a Laguna 410 litres prefab with wooden frame and a DIY baccy shower/trickle filter. Cheaper the better for me

Woah pond is looking great mate. Koi looking well happy minus the sulking fry. Great work! Make sure you get an aquarium glass cleaner for your window as u will need it once per week or so to keep that glass clean 👍🐟😊

Thanks mate, I'm so happy with how it's turned out. Got the ashp coming today, can't wait to get that in. That's a good shout on cleaning the glass. Luckily it's a small window so I can easily reach all of it by putting my arm in the pond

@@dannycurrie1 Brill im keeping my ashp for summers now not using in winter. Yeah u cud probs just use a cloth but for the cost of them an aquarium scraper is worth buying 👍

Glad you find them helpful mate. Try to show it all how it is, the things that work and the things that don't. I wish I'd been able to find more videos on all this stuff when I started, would have saved me alot of stress

@@projectkoi7822 gardens nearly a lost cause. Might gravel it all and give up on the grass. Yeah you did say about the condensation, should never have bothered with the grow on without proper ventilation. It's gone now anyway. Just concentrating on the one pond from now on

Your going to miss all that mud when in the summer 🤣. Good to see the uniseal, I bought some a few years ago but never got round to using them, looks like it's made a perfect seal .

I can't wait to see the back of the mud. Might just gravel the whole garden so this can't happen again 🤣 I'm well impressed with the uniseal. I'll be using them again. So simple and it seems to have worked great

@@thepeoplespond the connector for the ibc I just googled "ibc to bsp fitting" can't remember what site I ordered from. All my pipe fittings and the 3" strainer were from coastal koi. The tank connector I used was a 'uniseal' ordered for their website

She's doing alright, still got a wound on her other side. It's not got worse over winter but not any better. Once the water warms up it should start healing, there's a couple of dead sales I need to get off but don't want to sedate her until its a bit warmer in there

Nice update Danny great when your plans all come together , I've an old fibreglass tank in the loft think i'll make a ibcmoving bed , where have you been getting all your plumbing bits and bobs from , thanks pete

Sounds like a good plan. Any big container can make a good moving bed. Got most of my fittings from coastal koi, seems to be the cheapest place I've found

Fairly sure the Ibc are HDPE plastic, same as milk bottles, not a lot sticks to it. Good job mate.

Ahh that makes sense then. Did wonder why it didn't work. It's stuck with the silicone anyway so it's all good :)

Got my window in mate, went in a treat, holding water and really looks great! I’m so pleased I did it the same way as you. Where did you get the 3” filter cage from?

Well done mate. Glad it all went it well. Not sure why more people don't do it that way. Seems much easier to me. That 3 inch cage was from coastal koi. Got most of my fittings from them

@@dannycurrie1 thanks! Me neither, the only thing I can possibly think is on sleeper ponds if you get any movement. But that could easily fixed with sealant. My ponds been full for a week now and had no movement in them at all 🤞I did put loads of rebar in though 😂

How do you find the uni seal? Is it still working ok? Im doing the same of using a ibc for bio chamber, but as you know the available plastic between the bars isnt wide enough for tank connectors. Cheers

The uni seal has been great. Not had an issue with it at all. I'd definitely recommend them. I would use them again if I was rebuilding

Hi Danny, Great video's. Just out of interest how did you find the uniseal? Did it work? and what size hole saw did you use for the 3" seal?

I just searched uniseal on good, ordered off there website. £10 free post, arrived next day. Worked great, not leaks so far. It was a 102mm holesaw. On there website it says what size you need for each one

Thanks mate. I'm getting a remora i9. I'll do some videos on it when it arrives. Meant to be really good. It was a toss up between that and the thermotec. Hopefully made the right choice

It's all a bit messy and confusing in that filter house. I'll do a full run down one day once I've got it tidied up better. It's working though that's the main think. Got a remora i9 coming tomorrow. Should work really well on my pond. Will do some videos when I've got it
