I sleep on my back because it's more comfortable than the other positions. I feel much better when I wake up in the morning too.

I've been sleeping on my back for years as I have heard this is the "healthiest" way to sleep. but have often problems with waking up, due to choking from phlegm building up in my throat. My Dr. recommended getting used to sleeping on my side, which has always been problematic as I have broad shoulders. the choice seems to be death by self-inflicted asphyxiation or constant shoulder, neck or knee pain. Do you have a better solution?

My back hurts sleeping like that. I used to love sleeping on my back. I've tried a wedge under the knees and a lumbar support but still hurts. I have arthritis and slight disc issues lower spine. 65 year old computer engineer. I now sleep on both sides with pillow between knees.

Hi Kely! 🙂 Thanks for your comment and for sharing your experience with us! 🙏 Sleeping on your stomach is our second recommended sleeping position, right after sleeping on your back. So if you feel comfortable with it and wake up without pain, you can definitely continue to sleep this way. 😊 Best wishes, Hannah from Liebscher & Bracht
