In competitive duels you would only summon Ra and use that effect if you have enough protection for it and if it will win u the duel because the majority of meta decks can easily beat Ra and attack to finish the last 100 LP in 1 turn The biggest flaw Ra decks have are the fact that any burn deck will just bait out Ra and the effect and use 1 burn effect to win

There was an unintentional cheat in the first duel... Larry forgot that after activating "Thunderforce Attack", he can only attack with one monster that turn.

tbf they both forgot that on turn 2 when slifer was summoned on chain link 2, that then on chain link 1 when the reactor slime special summoned its token slifer's effect shouldve activated, killing the tokens. s ra wouldnt have ever been summoned. and even though it doesnt matter, the same thing happened when he special summoned jegido to block slifer's attack. so slifer's attack wouldve gone through anyway

Avid Slifer player in Master Duel here! Larry missed that all the Joker cards (Joker's Straight, Joker's Knight, and Joker's Wild) all get to activate during both players end phases. Might've helped him a bit in duels 2/3 to have some knights to use, plus a little extra attack/defense power on Slifer itself. Otherwise, absolutely great job!

Slifer the Sky Dragon will always be my favorite of the trio. As scary as Obelisk is and as cool as Ra is, Slifer checks all the boxes for me. Red color scheme? Check. Being an actual (almost Chinese style) dragon? Check. Bad ass name in both English and Japanese? Check. Effects that can destroy cards when they're summoned and power based on hand size? Check :)

In the actual game there's never been any special summon attack restrictions. I assume the true sun god effect is an allusion to battle city as a whole.

Okay a few things I would like to say. 1. Love these duels. I think these are some of the most hype duels in this day and age. 2. Slifer 100% works on Ra. Since Ra stops activation for its summon and Slifer opens his second mouth after a successful normal summon. Ra would stop stuff like solemn and torrential, however Slifer reduces attack after the card has finished its summon. 3. The face cards work on both end phases. So Larry 100% won that last duel. Also it might have been cut, but did Larry draw for the activation of Thunderforce attack? He should have drawn 2 card for destroying the two sphere modes on his main phase. 4. Keep up the good work. Love watching duels where the game doesn't end turn 2 and also has a decent amount of back and forth to go along with it. This is my favorite type of Yugioh to watch and play. So I love the energy and personality you guys bring to the table. That is all I wanted to say thanks for reading

Larry couldn't have activated The Revived Sky God because it requires both players to draw until they have six cards in hand, so both players have to be able to fulfill the condition of drawing, it's one of the weird rulings for the card

Ra stops solemn because its summon can't be negated. But it also has a line that reads, "When normal summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated." That's the line that stops torrential, and supposedly stops Slifer's effect.

@@steakfries8037 But it does not stop Slifer's effect. The god cards make it where you cannot respond to the summon of a god. Plain and simple as that. " I summon a god card god and there is no response you can do." That clause does stop things like torrential from activating. That is because it is still reacting during the summoning period. However the way Slifer works is a bit of a work around. It doesn't trigger during the opponents Summon of Ra. Slifer triggers after the summon. So since the summoning is complete. The clause that stop effects do not stop Ra. Due to the fact that the god cards only stop the effects while they are being summoned. Again, Slifer would activate because it doesn't respond to a summon. The card gets summoned fully (The effects that all the gods have only stop effects during summon) so after the card is flly summoned, then slifer sees this card and the attack that the card has. After seeing the card which has fully been summoned, its effect activated and it loses 2000 ATK.

@@YarnLalms711 You are absolutely right. I haven't really read the card in enough detail so I did miss that. I am unsure how much that actually affected that duel however. I don't think it mattered all that much in the end though. Instead of activating it by itself, Larry just chains it to the activation of Millennium Revelation. Alec would draw 1 additional card. In technicality it might have been super useful for Alec. However the not activating his Joker cards in the gy on Alec's turn meant that all of his cards were on a two turn clock instead of the intended 1 turn clock. However good catch, that is some more useful information that I hadn't considered.

Love the Knight deck, I run it myself and love it...also just to add, Larry misplayed a good chunk and I'm only pointing this out because it makes the Knights seem not that great, all the End Phase GY effects of Joker's Knight, Joker's Wild, and Joker's Straight can be activated on BOTH End Phases, not just yours, when Larry pulled Arcana Triumph Joker to his hand with Thunderspeed Summon, he only needed to sacrifice 2 monsters (sacrificing all 3 is only if you Special Summon her), as well as her effects are NOT once per turn and can be activated as many times as possible as cards you have in your hand so pretty sure Larry could have won against Ra in multiple situations because you're meant to sack all 3 Joker's cards for her effects to effectively wipe your opponents field of all face up cards and then you should get them back in the end phase but all in all great duel, just wanted to make sure to clarify on the Knight deck a bit because while it isn't really Meta worthy, it is still a lot stronger than this video made it seem

They should make Slifer and Ra art for Egyptian God Slime. It makes sense as if Slifer were out in the show, Marik would've copied it, and the same goes for Ra. They should also make alt arts for more cards in general, like a 3rd Cyber Dragon, or Harpie Lady, Cyber Harpie, and maybe even Cyber Slash alts featuring the 2 others from the show. We all know they'd sell really well. Other cards that would be nice are cards that people run in multiples or are in need of a reprint, like Tour Guide (3rd), Chamber Dragonmaid, Selene, Evenly Matched, Droplets, Accesscode, Super Polymerization (looks plain), etc. There's a lot of alts that are OCG only, like Blue-Eyes (ft. Kaiba) and Ultimate Dragon.

Fun video to watch. Love the over the top God battle. One thing, The Revived Sky God cannot activate if your opponent has 6 cards or more in their hand. The effect to draw until both players has 6 cards is mandatory, but you cannot legally resolve the effect if one player cannot draw cards. So to use the card, both players must not have 6 cards in hand first.

@@kelliealanis9485 The whole effect of a card must be able to apply on activation for any card to be played (which is why you cannot activate Polymerization for a Fusion you don't have, or Desires if you have 11 or less cards in deck). This is a game functionality issue (condition, activation, and effect) that supersedes the text. Because Sky God has a mandatory 'then' clause, it must also be possible on activation. This is not a case of 'resolve as much as possible', because activation (able to play) is not the same time as resolution (able to resolve).
