Can you do a video of you replacing the fuel lines? Even the one were it goes to the grommet in the tank.

At the 6:05 mark when you put that rubber grommet on. If it’s backwards will that cause an air leak? (Thicker side facing carb)
@smallengineguys3 жыл бұрын
it can but it should run regardless. how did you manage to get it to fit on wrong? either way super easy fix pop 2 bolts out slide carb away flip boot.
@smallengineguys3 жыл бұрын
actualy now i see it. no you are fine you just went thick side to carb then the rubber boot to manifold.
@manasseh73 жыл бұрын
@@smallengineguys according to your video I had it on wrong and that makes sense because the other day when I got it running with starting fluid I sprayed some in that area where the boot is on wrong and it shut off immediately.
@smallengineguys3 жыл бұрын
@@manasseh7 yep. Id call it a leak but you can do that to any 2 stroke. The fluid evaporates and gets sucked in the airfilter choking it out.
@manasseh73 жыл бұрын
@@smallengineguys so maybe it’s not that? Not sure I gotta see. Does old gas matter? I’m at my wits end here. New carb, new fuel filter, new air filter and still needs starting fluid to start.

I have a question I just put a new carbrator 2 years ago and now it's running badly is there away to shoot carb cleaner into the carbrator? What its doing its hard to start it will run for a bit and die .
@smallengineguys2 жыл бұрын
tyhese things are a pain in the ass. realy its an adjustment. the adjustment screw closest to the airfilter from the 2 together needs to be turned counter clockwise. i havent found a tool that fits well yet and echo wont sell me one. so i just change the carb everytime. problem is that even the new carbs need adjusting sometimes.

Great video amigo I have the same blower and I just put the new carb on it the blower turns on good for few seconds but turns off do you have an idea what could be?

these things are a pain in the ass. i cringe when i see one come in the shop. does it bog out or suddenly shut off like its loosing spark. could be bad plug or bad coil. lines hooked up right? carb may need adjusting although i have yet to find the micro pacman it needs that works.

Didn't see it start. I did all that but I can't get mine to start

Check spark and compression always before assuming its the carb.

You should always crank the equipment to show it works or if you need to show how to do any adjustments.

Thanks for another great video! I love your work you inspire me. I was in a car accident a few years ago and ended up with a disability and lost me job. I have repaired several small engines in the past and really enjoy it. Did you start at your house before you had your shop? What is the best way I should get business since I am just starting at my home? I'm in a smaller town here in California so not too many guys doing this type of work. Thanks again for taking the time to make all of the videos. I just came across your channel last week and I am working my way through all of your videos leaving a thumbs up of course and will use your Amazon links for tools and supplies. Thanks for any advise you can give me have great week.

i started in a warehouse on a fairly traveled road. put 4 or 5 pieces of equipment out and i was off like a dirty pair of shorts. i suggest finding free not running equipment fixing and selling it. youll make good money and people will find you, youll end up moving because people will knock on your door from 6 am to 12 pm asking if there weedeater is done. advertise your services on facebook marketplace and craigslist. but truly i would get a warehouse and start there it happens quick if you have a street that is traveled heavy on. you will loose any joy you have of working on these machines because of the customers you have to deal with.
