This is my favorite part of the river. Not just for fishing but clear clean water. Have you hooked or seen Muskie in this part of the river? I have been told fish tales about the section of the river about 100 yards above where you were today. If the big muskies are there, I can see why would grow big looking at the size of the small mouth. "fish food". I always enjoy your videos.

I got to fish the Nolichucky one afternoon, going after my first Smally. All I caught was 2 1/2 in long Largemouth!LOL!

I used to go spearing big river prawns in Costa Rica in a river at night. Their eye shine pink when a flashlight beam hits them and they're easy to poke in the head with a homemade 3 pointed spear. Anyway the river was very similar to the one in the video. I'd love to see what comes out from under those rocks. We found a fer de lance (the worst viper there) one night and a basalisk lizard hiding on the bottom once, easily caught. Anyway your river reminds me of that. You'd probably like to try it too.

People talk all the time how live Grampas are the best bass bait, did you feel that way ? Personally I think live Shad is ? They also talk all the time about what is better Crayfish or Shad. I have a video request, put a live Grampas and a Crayfish at the end of the same line with your new camera 3 times, keep the winning live bait and then add a live shad to the end of the line with the winning live bait. The problem is, it is said that crayfish are better bait with no claws, I believe that to be if the bass is to small.

Well there aren’t too many Shad In the nolichucky river, different ecosystems have different types of food you know??

Those Shad at the boat dock are gone now, they are there for the spawn and now they are out on the main lake , they may show up every now and then because of the light but if you had the same light on the main lake there would be a lot more

@@Surfer-727 in a place that has all sorts of prey, I think it would matter what they are keyed in on you know?? Some times they are keyed in on just crawfish and others baitfish, like right after the spawn they will eat a bluegill first because it’s wired into them to think they are coming after the eggs, there isn’t an exact science to it for sure , I think it comes down to getting the most nutrition for the least amount of energy expelled
