I so enjoyed this. Thank you for the shout out about our work at Cal State University Long Beach and Long Beach City College! So much more work to do. Shirley thank you for your real talk and to Amanda for amplifying these important issues and the lives of folks experiencing homelessness. I truly appreciate the real challenge to the narrative of "choice". There is no "choice" when there are no good options. Quote of the day "there is skid row because there is racism." "Money has never been the issue, opportunity has been the issue."

I think the issue of therapy in this context the accessibility. As someone who has had their safe reflective space become inaccessible because of funding , it can do more harm than good at times if you are not prepared . In no way am advocating not to try, but just recognize that when people are not able to access what you need to get to a place of healing, it can retrigger and traumatize your wounds all over again. Shout out to everyone who chooses each day to show up for themselves in the littlest ways today, that will have the biggest impact tomorrow.
