It’s the same solo technically just played differently. In the singles version there is more feedback in the beginning while in the this one there isn’t. I think there is an obvious difference

the alternate guitar solo is in the title of the song on gish (Deluxe Edition). I didn't put that there, the band did, I just copied the title down

geez.....the entire ~4+ minute guitar solo finale is just really bad distortion......Spotify shows this version of the song, but has it greyed-out like you're not allowed to listen to it; I'm deleting it from my playlist because that ending is so horrible......absolutely nothing wrong with the original/popular version, I'll continue listening to that version, not this one.....

@@The_Saddest_Landscape there's nothing fun/exciting about the guitar solo in this version of Drown; it's just garbage. There's a lot of SP songs that I tolerate bc either Jimmy does such a phenomenal job on drums or because Billy's songs are so diverse that it at least is unique in a talented way and shows how broad his portfolio of work is; but any attempt to advocate for this is just turd polishing.
