SMD CC-1 Crossover Calibrator Multiple Amplifier Gain Matching Device

INTRODUCING THE NEW PRODUCT FROM SMD-D'AMORE ENGINEERING! The new CC-1! Set your crossovers to the EXACT frequency you desire, fast, accurately and most of all very EASY. Go into "competition mode" and it has a function which allows you to match multiple amplifier outputs so they all put out the same power at the same time. This device doesn't just measure AC voltage, it measures DBV. This makes it more accurate then using a DMM (digital multi meter). This is a prototype and we are in beta testing stage.....still needs some tweaks but we hope to have it available by early 2012! In the meantime, don't forget to add the SMD DD-1 to your tool box. @Toad559 when the DD-1 is used FIRST, all the amps are VERY VERY close. The CC-1 just fine tunes them. I litterally BARELY BARELY moved each gain.

Hell ya this is cool. I just got a DD-1 and it was so easy to use but I didn't know where to set my crossover or sub-sonic filter now I can when I buy one of these. Another missing product that the car audio industry needs. Good job Mead keep up the good work!!!

i got the DD-1 and love it, i use the amps to check the headunit though, some head units dont put out enough power through the rca for signal lol, but thats the head units problem, i definitely want this new CC-1, i may not use it all the time, but well worth the money when i do need it :), ur a great guy Meade

Ok, just watching the video, i think steve turned the low pass switch on, then clicked read.... Then adjust the crossover down to calibration... Now its corresponding to exactly aligning with the markings on these rockford old school full range amps

When i change the full range switch to low pass on my rockford full range amps i notice the oitput signal increases.. When i use the cc1 and read when in amps low pass mode the calibration seems to match the crossover frequency markings exactly on the amp... When i read in full range mode the calibration seems to be lower than the markings on the amp... Maybe using the 80htz track , the amps saying about 70htz on the markings... . .? Which to use...

@chman99 when the signal light turns red, it doesn't mean the signal isn't clean. It comes on to indicate that it doesn't need that much voltage to do its job, so to turn down the volume.

in my opinion, the DD-1 and this new CC-1, are the best two products to buy, that the average bass head can buy and have professional quality products, and also professional results. you could have chosen to make a new design of a t-shirt or hat, but chose this. if i had the money, i would be buying both. maybe you can sell both the DD1 and the CC1 as a combo pack or something (hint hint) haha. anyways, good work steve

Have a question. I know you start with the main amp 1st. What if says not calibrated you adjust the gain until it does correct? Yours was calibrated on the first try. Was just wondering. thanks

OK I see where you chose track 16 for the 80hz, but was there a setting on the Crossover tuner that you had to set? Maybe I missed something. How would the piece of equipment know if that was 80hz or 100hz ? good vid though.

OK I was thinking maybe you put a multimeter on each one, found the one with the lowest ac output and turned the others down to match. if you picked the one with the highest ac output you would have to turn the others up but they are already set to maximum unclipped volume.
