This came at PERFECT timing! We're going to London & Paris in a couple of months, and thank you for sharing your actual itinerary!! I love Wanderlog so much, and I just added a bunch of places to check out based on your itinerary :D Super keen! And congrats on 60k!!

This is so interesting! I love seeing the breakdown and also seeing what your priorities were for your trip! It’s also interesting comparing it to our longer trip. When we travelled for over a year, we were averaging $10k every 40 days or so, but we obviously weren’t doing nearly as many activities in a 3 week span. Thanks for sharing all of the numbers!

I’ve planned 2 trips with Wanderlog, one being a road trip. The map function is SO helpful! And I also plan as meticulously as you, researching each restaurant to find out what people like, how much it costs, etc. It’s so fun!

As a fellow past travel agent , now working in corporate travel. So nice to hear someone explain that all flights based on availability and the booking classes! 100% perfect advice agent or direct ❤ Also the amount of questions I got about how much I spent on my Europe trip and I had no idea, this video is perfect !!!

Totally get the Edinburgh love. It’s such a magical city. As an Aussie who moved to Scotland 5 years ago, as soon as I got to Edinburgh, it felt like home. Also I would highly recommend travelling around Scotland. There are lots of other cities and places you can get to by train, even just for day trips.

Some of the Disney rollercoasters don’t mess around! I went to Disneyland as an 11 year old, and I swear I nearly fell out of a mountain coaster one that only had the hip/thigh bar when it went around a fast corner 😂 I love rollercoasters as well, and no one in my family believed me (and no one believes me still), but to this day I stand by what I say 🎢

I would love to know which platforms (besides airbnb) you use to book accomodation and find deals? I would also love to see a planning video in the future :)

Just got to the bit about room size in Paris - nope, all hotels in Central unless you’re going super priceeey have tiny rooms! Same in Copenhagen!

yes! very European!

I always think people are surprised because they see big big KZbinrs going on like fully paid influencer trips and they have these massive rooms 😂. Sadly, these rooms cost thousands and thousands per night so not accessible for the vast majority of us - Americans, especially, are always so distraught by the room size and bed sizes 😂

I wouldns say so. You mentioned one of the most expensive cities in Europe which is Copenhagen and Paris. Amsterdam from other hand due to the location and canals has as well small accomodations but this is different things as well. Wondering why travelers outside of Europe are going to those places anyway there are more beutifull places and less crowded less touristic in Europe.
@PLSugarbeet7 күн бұрын
@@smileycitrus Europe is not only Paris or London. Got oEastern Europe or Adriatic you will have plenty of spaces for cheaper price as well.

Hi Ella, was wondering what company you use for Travel😊 Insurance? 🥰

Great video, per usual. Just curious if you could share the travel insurance information. I’m traveling to Japan in May and I want to get travel insurance for sure but I’m not sure if there is a specific website to purchase from or if the travel insurance is something that is purchased from the airline.
@smileycitrus7 күн бұрын
Hi! I did mine through RAA but I usually stick with insurance underwritten by Tokio Marine or Covermore xx

Travel Insurance Direct is another great option. I’ve worked in travel insurance claims (not for TID) and the biggest things I look for are 24/7 emergency assistance line, unlimited medical expenses and COVID cover. I haven’t had to claim but people I’ve recommended them to have had great claims service, and when I had to cancel a policy due to travel restrictions they were so easy to deal with and refunded me quickly.

This is really interesting. I'm going to UK in mid August for 4.5 weeks.I am expecting it to cost about 30k. Hopefully my trip won't be as expensive as I thought. How far ahead did you book trains? I have heard you should book in advance. I am travelling alone though so not sharing the accommodation costs. I have the travel spreadsheet but I couldn't get my head round using it. I have made my own with a transaction tracker etc so I'm making do. Would love to see a breakdown of how to use it.

We did a six week train trip around Western Europe in April -May and almost every train we took (we booked them well in advance) was fully booked. Book as soon as you can, overtoursim is real, I don't think there's an off season anymore.
