If you have time please try to visit Ohkouchi Sansou. It is the former villa of Denjiro Ohkouchi who was a jidaigeki actor (in chambara samurai films) in the 1920's. Exquisite gardens and views of Kyoto. The entry fee includes matcha with a sweet pastry.

Mhh, I love dango and mochi. All kinds. Kinako dango, mitarashi dango, goma dango, ... They are perfect at any time with tea, But I also like them together with sake, sherry or even gin-tonic. Dango forever.

Went to Arashiyama last January 2020, but totally on the opposite side, the one going to (turned right) the bamboo park. It was so damn packed with people. The bus (l think Bus #12) took nearly an hour to arrive at the destination because of a hundred stops (I'm exaggerating, of course 😊). Only to find out there's a train station going to Kyoto central station taking less than 20 mins. Quite an adventure, good to know it has another side to explore. Thanks for featuring it!

November 6th, 2020. In northeast Pennsylvania it was 22*C / 73*F today. Actually Wednesday the 4th and Thursday the 5th were also warm and sunny. An unexpected, but pleasant warm snap. I believe tomorrow, November 7th is also supposed to be around 23*C. 😊 I absolutely love the boats on the river....it’s stunningly beautiful there. I will be adding this to my “saved for travel” folder so I have the name/location when international travel fully starts back up. ✌️❤️😊

Arashiyama is so gorgeous in its Summer clothes or Fall. I'd love to be boating on the river. I'd also love to try the fruit dango--I'm a real fruit lover.🍡 The walk was so calming as usual, which we need right now in the U.S. Thank you, Shinichi and Satoshi, for another lovely interlude.

Hey Guys Can you please explain the difference between Dango and mochi. You called the dango you had mochi as well? Are they really the same thing but the ingredients are just slightly different? I loved the look of the rainbow dango, can’t wait to travel again. I miss Japan so much and as soon as the borders open I will be on the plane. Thank so much for all your videos it’s almost like being there 🙂

This may sound like a weird question, but can people swim in the river? (Yes, I know it's autumn and probably too cold, but I'm asking in general, like in summer time) Usually when I watch videos where there is a river, I never see people swimming in the water. Is that because it's prohibited or it's simply not common?
@akirausagi82754 жыл бұрын
Love the video Shinichi. Also I hate KZbin, it says the video was uploaded 50 minutes ago but there's some comments that are 10 hours ago lmao.

IDK why but I really like the nice vending machines everywhere They do look like cupcakes and the chocolate and mochi is like putting ketchup on food that doesn't need it like Filet Mignon. I love Heinz Ketchup, its a major food group to me but most American food is so bad that Heinz ketchup is necessary to eat the food. some burgers no names to protect the guilty lol November 6th 2020 Las Vegas high is 28 down from 43c? or whatever 114 F is stream is likely a fish run for salmon and other fish to swim upstream past the waterfalls

Lets put it straight, I love your videos and their content, infact I am a religious follower, but, considering the actual situation going on in the world ( personally talking about Europe, which I an in), why could you just spend a little word about what it is going on around????? Are tou aware of that?? Do not get me wrong, I love you watching trying food from all over, but you shall not dismiss the actual situation going on, mYbe I am just the only european subscriber whatching you ( hope I am wrong about this) but to give more thickness to your content I might reccomend tou to do so.... Maybe I am overthinking but truly it is a hard times at the moment .......
