Wow. So quiet. I went there about 4 yrs ago with a friend for her cousin's wedding. We rented a car and went to many places on the island. My favorite eatery there was the Rose Garden which really reminded me of a Pop and Mom's style restaurant in small town Midwest America.

Thank you for showing Okinawa. I have memories of Heiwa Dori since childhood. I’d love to eat miso onigiri and Okinawa soba. Can’t wait to visit Okinawa next year to see my elderly mother and siblings. Even living in Wisconsin for 25 years, still feel Okinawa and Hawaii as my home, especially Okinawa. Love to see more videos of Okinawa. If you’d like to get in touch with Okinawan residents to help you search places to visit, let me know.

I live here in Wisconsin USA and I love Japanese culture and of course the food. My fiance is Japanese and he recently had me try yuzu kosho. It's the best Japanese condiment I've ever had. Especially in my natto and I love mixing it with mayo for onigiri and sandwiches! I really enjoy watching you guys, you have kept me company thru my quarantine and have shown me some awesome Japanese food and some great recommendations to try next time I make a trip to my favorite Asian supermarket. I always have it in my pantry . Since watching your video's I have learnt so much about Asian, Japanese foods . I watched you and your mums sweet and sour pork dish . Which I made for dinner it was out of this world , so different to any other we have tried. Such a huge hit in my family thankyou. Perhaps one day in the future I would love to cook for you and Satoshi if you were to visit New Zealand. Have a great day guys . PS Shout to the moderator's they are the best 👍💛🍙

@@just_another_Japan_Life_Vlog It reminds me tons of Hawaii where I grew up. And Japan in general being inexpensive to live in, I'd sure it'd be a great place to retire but I'd not want to try it without mastering Japanese and I don't think I can do that. At least I can retire back in Hawaii which is cheaper than the mainland.

An agricultural tradition of a tug of war with this enormous rope started here many centuries ago, and would be part of the celebrations of such important events as the coronation of a new emperor. After a hiatus of about 70 years it was again reinstated and is now recognised in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest tug-of-war rope in the world.

Hi Shinichi! I've wanted to visit Japan since I was young, but I'm disabled. How would you rate access for wheelchair users? It's a little difficult to see in your videos. 💜 😊 Big loves to you, Satoshi and Justin! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
@Shinichisworld4 жыл бұрын
There are challenges for sure as there are many books and crannies in Japanese cities. I do recommend visiting with a friend who could help. However I do know of some people who visit every year who are in wheelchairs. They tell me they do fine here as most people are helpful. Also train stations are all accessible and staff will help you as much as possible.
@Komainu9594 жыл бұрын
From the perspective of someone who has bad feet and a bad knee and whose friends Mom is wheelchair bound so i tend to notice accessibility issues. It really depends. Major cities are generally fine so far as train stations (elevators) and buses (non step) but I know when I ventured out of the major cities it could be more of a problem. At the very least the elevator may be in a harder to find location and some buses are not accessible. It also depends on what you want to do. Many of the temples/shrines I visited had lots of steps and I doubt there were any other means of traversing around those stairs. That's not to say they couldn't be enjoyed but it might be limiting. The last thing I would say is that while major cities generally have nice wide sidewalks and cut sidewalks at intersections some of the off streets can get very narrow with no sidewalks at all. There are of course resources that can be found online. My go to place is japan-guide.com link below to Japan accessibility. www.japan-guide.com/e/e2301.html
