I'm mexican and this is how we made our crispy or medium soft shell tacos. We would heat up the corn tortillas in oil and then create a fold. This is nostalgia for me and rip to my grandma. We call it Tex Mex down here in San Antonio Texas

Just a little help after making the taco shells from the tortillas in oil, sprinkle some of the Kraft parmesan cheese from the shaker side onto them after removing from the oil, you won't regret it and you will never not do it that way after you've tried it once, so friggin good
