Man hearing these songs take me back to the beta days early 2010. I was so addicted I remember my friends coming over and hanging out watching me play all day. My GF at the time would get annoyed for how long I played and not giving her attention. She would just be sprawled out on my bed reading a book. I played this on a Dell Dimension Pentium 4 and a lot of the shaders wouldn't process so the game looked like a literal glitchy cartoon. But, I didn't care. I put dozens of hours into that beta and I haven't looked back since. Zerg main for the last 13 years. Still not GM good but I still enjoy it.

Thorne Garvin The brood war terran ones are very epic. 15+ yrs old but still very good. More punch into it. But we can agree on that Terrans Music and all sounds are the best. Hate playing Zerg and all slushy sounds, like when having sex with my girl rofl, those kinda ish soundish huh ? Anyways its bodily sounds as the race looks. It makes sense because the damn Zerg while u macro all building sound like meat on meat, slime and other bodily fluids involved. ewww Thats why i cant play it. I like the concept of the race but. Terran BW -> Terran WoL -> Terran HotS (worse shit ever) -> Beta lotv is awesome FINALLY no slow start = alive game. Just got shot by mate, got to shaky hands lol.

The Collector's edition music CD only has shorter versions of three of the Terran tracks. Getting them from the game is a much better idea. Thanks for sharing!

I really thought it was impossible to top the Terran themes from SC1 (especially Theme 1 and 2) but I think Blizzard outdid themselves with these themes... they're sincerely breathtaking.

@Ankarua I couldn't agree with you more. Remixes are great to hear... depending on the song. But for this, since the story is moving along, i think it's a great way to show, something that is similar in style to the original, but also new. And, this is some great music, has a nice upbeat feel to it, a nice variety of guitars, keeping a "this is a young race that enjoys life" sorta feel. Can't help but love this music.

Theme 4 really blew my mind. I'm not sure if it would fit a battlefield type scenario, but I'm totally feeling this music with the picture of Jim(?) sittin at that bar there, on some desolate backwater planet. I think it would be great upgrading your units/pickin your next destination music.

3:17-4:11 gives some nice nostalgia... probably since it follows one of the popular chord progression from SC1's terran music.

@Smorfty I've played SC1 and the music from SC2 for terrans fits perfectly for "our" space cowboys. Country mixed with metal - a perfect mix, imho. For me, these songs are already epic and keep in my mind for half the day. Im listening to and humming it all day already.

Theme 3 - This is where you deploy your tanks in siege mode and just sit back and watch as they blow incoming waves of zerglings to pieces. Feels so good.

Wow, I am so glad they decided to make new music. Don't get me wrong, I love SC1's music (Terran Theme 2 is probably my favourite VGM of all time), but after 12 years it'd be great to hear something new, rather than remixes of the old songs. And these ones rock. They fit great with Raynor. You get the feeling that you're a "space cowboy".

This is good music, and some people just want to hate on things for no reason some of the time too. Personally I think the music fits really good. So a word to those people who are hating on this because it's not a remix of past music: Remixes are good, and it's nice to hear a song you like in a new way, but if everyone just remixed things, some styles of music would have never came to be. And if we didn't have the drive to do something new, I think the world would be rather boring.

I like Terran music because, for the most part, it sounds pretty lackluster at first, but after hearing it enough it really grows on you and fits perfectly. My only qualm is that they didn't remix the Brood War sound track for Terran in SCII. Hopefully it will come later. You know, the really epic orchestrated song. That one grabbed me the first time I sat down and played Terran 1X.

I must admit when I first got into the beta and started playing and heard theme 3 I thought "WTF IS THIS REALLY STARCRAFT WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED?" but over time the song grew on me and its actually my favorite theme.
