LOL you start with a simple base paint, then got really complex with the layers. Modern car coatings have crazy layers that outshine the base paint now.

I had a good friend twenty years ago repaint his 95 accord in championship while with alot of red pearl, been hooked on that combo ever since. Although I must say the older I get the less I give any for taking care of paint anymore.

So it’s “That Dude In Blue Blue”? I like it. My favorite color is something I call Slate Blue. It’s a blue/gray metallic color. My dad had a 2016 Hyundai Sonata in a color that was very close to it.

Fantastic! In Australia our Ford Falcon had the two blues. The BF Falcon had the straight blue and the next model (FG) had the nitrous blue. In the sun it looks awesome. Can’t wait to see Smurf finished.

I guess you have to see it under natural sunlight in person to see the difference in color. Definitely pretty hard to tell the difference through a camera lens under the bright shop lighting ha. Can’t wait to see the final result! Always enjoy your content, much love from Texas!

Paint work os fun. I worked in a body shop for a while. Mixing is a "precise" process, I regularly had to cheat while mixing to get it right lol. I've had times where I completely messed up the paint and it wound up being a perfect match. lol

the blue-purple is dope, but it would be hard to paint correct. in the future try putting the UV light behind or next to the camera. i think it will show the color better💪
