"And I hope whoever it is Holds their breath around you Cause’ I know I did" I think this line is particularly lovely. It captures that sort of confessional, innocent love that we experience when we're young while simultaneously exploring a more mature outlook. However, you can tell she's still sorting through her feelings in real time. I agree that this song is well written.

Despite a never-ending influx of new bands popping up all the time, as of the last few years it's felt to me that not too many have made too big a splash/project a lot of staying power in the genre. Not to mention, a ton of bands from the early to late '00s have already settled into their fame, so I felt this palpable power vacuum. But now that the senior class has graduated, it's time for a new group of freshmen. There was a breakthrough for me last year in the form of Charly Bliss, but I think Snail Mail is the newcomer that'll arguably make the biggest splash in indie rock in 2018.
