I was looking after a dog about 2 years ago, and on a walk, he picked up a discarded nappy (diaper for Americans) which someone had decided to leave in the middle of the field. I managed to trick him into dropping it with food before shutting him in a different room, because I didn't want my hands to be that involved with some random child's poop

The fact you immediately contacted and went to a vet for a potential ingested item is just, yes. The number of people who watch and know their pet has eaten something and wait until their animal is near dying from a blockage is far too high. No your dog will not just "pass" those socks. Emily is a responsible pet owner. Be like Emily.

I almost died laughing when I picked up my WALKING HUMAN NIECE (under the arms) and suddenly I started a couple of arm curls with her, trying to figure out how much she weighed... she was almost 3 years old if I remember correctly, so I hollered to my sister in the other room, "Christine, how much does she weigh?"... "32 pounds, why?" As she's walking into the room, seeing me arm curl her daughter (who's laughing thinking it's a fun ride!) "Ummm, bc my cat is 31 pounds..." She was an extremely large (and yes, very fat) house cat!!! Lol

Me to my dog while he was glaring at me all day after I had to take him to the vet for eating a grape. Instead of an IV drip they just injected a lot of Saline under his skin (he’s got a lot of extra skin, just never fully grew into it and he’s still pretty young and a little wiry) so we decided to call him a “gusher” until it dissipated, he was not pleased.

That's what I thought when my dog (a big husky) managed to wedge a small stick in his upper jaw. It was completely stuck, and I had to get help from my landlords to hold him still while I got the stick out. Thank goodness Rex is okay, especially when she’s so close to moving to her giant upgrade enclosure at the facility. I can’t imagine anything bad happening to Rex, it’s too horrible to think about. On a lighter note, the longer Rex has been in your care, the more her body condition seems to improve. I don’t think she’ll ever quite look normal, but her face has evened out significantly and her overall body condition has greatly improved. Another feeling of being scared for a pet just last week our cat started acting weird and we may have to put her down as of today but I'm not exactly sure because we don't know what's going on.

Dr gates and the team seem like awesome people! I love that the techs filmed, and that Dr Gates talked to the camera to tell us what was going on! I don’t think many other vet clinics would do that. Seems like Rexy was in good hands.
