I agree. I only want to lose around 3kg/6 lbs and my biggest problem is 'grazing'. I've been doing some research into the matter and it turns out I just need something to do with my hands instead of nibbling on something while watching the TV. So I've taken up coloring in a coloring book and drinking mineral water and I feel how it soothes my urges to nibble.

I'm using how much oil to fry my healthy chicken breast? I'm putting how many grams of peanut butter on my small piece of toast? There's how much in a chocolate wafer?! @Monika-bc3dq
@Monika-bc3dq 5 жыл бұрын
@ThePoliticalDude123 how exactly do you think these are filmed? You think they just start filming next episode after the previous one already got aired? It's not how tv shows work, they are all filmed in advance, then edited then they air them after whole season is finished. And in first season there was no cafe, so it is new thing for people in this season. It's still pointless element but no, people in this season don't know about it.

These are actually pretty good episodes. They have a variety of people in their show, like these two sisters who were not yet that massive, and these episodes really make you think about all the munchies during the day. Easy, when you don't know you're being followed. They take advantage of words, like they do in legal documents. "We will be filming your *every* move, so we'll start by setting up cameras in your home." They lie by omission lol they forget to mention the cameras they will be using to get you when you go out. They exploit the fact that they know their behaviour WILL be influenced by cameras (as if you can forget you're being watched), hence why most of the sneaky behaviour occurs when they leave the house.

Since then, I've lost 11lbs and am making sure I'm eating healthily and at a calorific deficit, plus I've started increasing my activity. My overweight and obese friends somewhat mock me for my behaviour but is it not better to sort it out before we're stones overweight?

Bunchy Bunch 100% agree with you on this one !! It’s extremely good to be self aware and not in denial about ur weight and eating habits, and really good that you realized early on before things started Spiraling out of control bc trust me it’s much much harder to gain back control of your weight after going off the deep end. I also think ur friends should be more supportive of you making healthier choices just don’t let them Deter you from continuing on ur health journey ! And you could also encourage them to join you on ur health journey. Bunchy Bunch Well done! Don‘t ever be discouraged. Are you feeling better/accomplished today? What else did you change? I have (various) friends who are younger and can barely breathe, find a step counter stressful, are under 40, smoke, drink or one 70+ very mentally fit person who is obese but will eat cheese after 8pm and gulps wine every 2nd day (and barely moves; sits 5 hours in front of the telly every day). I just lost 4lb cutting sugar and I‘m far from overweight but just health aware (put on weight thanks to crisps and eating out in the past 4 years). Stay self-aware and always check with science around digestion and immunity. Your body will appreciate every move made and every calorie saved - may you inspire in the long run and live a disease free life 😉🙏🏻

@AnataWaDareDesuKa 5 жыл бұрын
Sylwia Kaźmierczak Depends on where you measure from. If I would gain 2 stone, my BMI would still (but barely) be in the healthy range. So calculating overweight in that way, me weighting 2 stone extra wouldn’t be too bad. Bad if 2 stone overweight is calculated being (barely) in the ‘healthy range’, I could be 4 stone heavier than I’m now, but be “2 stone overweight”. Then I wouldn’t say ‘only’, because I would be 84kg instead of 60kg. That would be almost half the weight I’m now EXTRA.
@roguenrawwellness7682
@roguenrawwellness7682 5 жыл бұрын
No because I’m in good shape. My BMI isn’t out of control, it’s in the overweight and not obese bracket. I walk over 33,000 steps a day, go to the gym, and did I mention I live in the US. I know people hundreds of pounds over weight so 20 pounds is nothing in comparison. But see as someone who has studied fitness and nutrition I know my somatotype falls at an even split between a mesomoroph and an endomoroph. My dad’s kids all tend to be very tall and very muscular endomorphs who might weigh 200lbs but are also 6 foot tall personal trainers in ridiculous shape. But see muscle weighs more than fat. While I’m the smallest sibling I am very short but muscular I still tip the scales 18lbs higher than I’d like, so I can’t quite work out how I can hit that “ideal weight,” but keep my muscle tone at the same time. I need muscle and endurance for what I do in a day, but I don’t want to go past a certain weight either it’s tricky.

I am the exact type of eater that Stephanie is. I didn’t gain weight from eating big portions, I gained weight from always choosing some easy junk food meal that had way too many calories in its small portion. Now that I’ve changed what type of food I eat I lost the extra weight and I didn’t even have to change my portions. I didn’t even have to stop eating ready meals, I just eat better ones now and don’t have any junk food snacks in between. Everyone is a different type of eater and it’s important to know which kind you are to find the method that works for you. Not every type of diet is going to work for everyone. For me, I don’t even really like food that much, I just ate junk food because it was convenient.

I only recently discovered this, but I can't stop watching it. It's absolutely fascinating from a sociological perspective. I see a lot of people's poor choices as simple ignorance of basic nutrition, which should be properly taught in school. One thing I wish this show did was ask the participants, "How many calories do you suppose is in this meal?" I imagine that most people have no idea how much they're eating, calorically speaking. I used to be a personal trainer and I would have my clients give me food journals. Unfortunately, I had no idea how much people "lie" (to me as much as to themselves) and that they were basically worthless (the journals, not the clients). In fact, asking for food journals was probably detrimental to designing an overall diet and exercise plan. How can someone, with a straight face, ask, "Why am I putting on so much weight?" and at the same time eat microwave pizzas? Simply astonishing. Edit* I just watched the end of the episode. I am shocked to see that they weighed themselves on a scale that was on carpet... A sure fire way to lose weight is to weigh yourself on a scale that is on tile, and then not change anything about your normal routine. Then, a week later, put your scale on some shag carpet and weight yourself again.

I mean as calorific as that, some DO eat garbage like that and are very thin because they don't eat regularly. If you eat way less than you need, processed garbage diet or not you will be thin. If you watch supersize vs superskinny you'll see how some of the "skinnies" have shocking diets. Devoid of plenty nutrients bit not necessarily low fat or sugar. If you only eat a quarter pounder, a few coffees and the odd snack within a couple days that's nowhere near enough calories, nevermind nutrients.

toy gummy bear.. Your just spreading the stereotype of negative vegans who like the force others into guilt. I’m vegetarian and well aware of the horrors of the dairy industry. But sometimes you don’t want to get bogged down in negativity. Try and spread a more positive constructive message :)

@ meow cat not all saturated fats are bad, some like coconut oil for example are quite healthy. and while i agree that added sugar has no nutritional value other than serving as energy, calling it literal poison is overdramatic. eating a slice of cake on your birthday isn’t gonna kill you🙄

Lovely girls and good that they tackle their unhealthy way of eating and that they both have lost weight steadily. But if they had stuck to their suggested calorie intake they should have been able to loose twice as much given the calorie deficit between their new & old food intake. Hope they kept going.

Japanese snacks are individual wrapped to the point of wasteful. Each piece of biscuit wrapped. Each tiny portion of nuts wrapped.

It’s why Japan does not have an obesity problem. People genuinely don’t want to eat more than the individually wrapped single snack.

Same. I'm really good at saying no at the grocery store. The problem is my husband goes to the corner store to buy snacks every day, and he always asks if I want some.... so I'll say no again. But he'll ALWAYS buy me a chocolate bar anyway. It's easy to say no the first two times, but by the third time when the snack is right there on the counter it's so hard 😂😭

31:19 That's why in the supermarkets the small bags of crisps are sold in "multipacks" but the single large packs are sold as "sharing" crisps because there's no way anyone would share it and they'll eat more in one go. Obviously they should call the multipacks the sharing crisps.

I understand the convenience food in terms of doing shifts.. I do Shifts too, and I cook when I have days off and store the food by freezing or canning it. Its not easy to have the strength cooking when Doing shifts so I Can relate.

If it’s anything like the US they can’t go too far because of the different food industries (I.e. beef, dairy, etc) advertise and they don’t want to lose the money.

What seriously sucks about the food industry is that, sure, it's better to grab the small bags but they make them almost the same price as the bigger bags and sometimes more!!! A 2 liter of coke is actually 1-2 dollars CHEAPER then a 20oz bottle. Not to mention if you decide to pay more for the smaller one for health reasons then you end up adding a lot more to the waste of the world. It's just a no-win situation and EXTREMELY frustrating. Growing up poor, you would NEVER buy the smaller items because you need to spend your money wisely. Not to mention many of the "healthier" options are more expensive so you end up eating processed unhealthy food. Sure, on a case by case basis, this stuff sound like a good and easy thing to do but it's not realistic for many families due to how the food industry has positioned itself. They want us to be gluttonous because it makes them more money. All that sugar and carbs create food addictions that are extremely hard to overcome. It's disgusting really. And the same people that are supposed to help, the people who monitor the food and drug industries, actually own stock in those same industries they are supposed to be monitoring or are on their boards. They have vested interests in the companies they are supposed to be making sure are doing the right thing. 😡😡😡
