I seen a guy recently who took two pieces of angle iron approx 4' long (pretty heavy) and welded it together at 45 degrees to make 1/2 a square. He put two pieces of chain, one on either side, about 12 inches from the point and drug it behind his truck and cleared the road so nice I was very surprised at how well it worked!

Just addin' commentary from another Appalachian who lives in a dead-end hollar -- Folks the goal is not to scrape so much to drive on top of the gravel, as much as to make the driveway ready to melt more quickly when the sun comes back out after the storm. -- Makes a huge difference. Yes, I do miss the Ford but about a year and a half ago me and my grandpa got tired of working on things and dead batteries and flat tires so we sold 3 tractors and all our hay equipment and paid a big chunk down on a new Kubota and went to round bales of hay.
