I agree lol I would run out of ideas of interesting scenarios to make the show good. But they've done it. Geniuses I would say. It has some introspective feel on it. Unlike some action movies that seem shallow . They did a good job. I hope they keep it up.

I think it is great too, but you only see a few train cars and for me it feels like a small trein. And sometimes at the beginning of the show the CGI was a liitle off. But overall it is a great show and the last episode is awesome

Whilst they make it evident that the train is super tail and has like 3 stories (ish) the thinness is inconsistent.. like a 10m high train that is basically 3m wide at some points? and sometimes it looks like its 5-6m wide lol

In the cars that look narrow compared to the ones in first class that look like mansions, those could be used for more bulky electronics and machinery stored along the walls on the inside, leaving only a narrow space down the center. And since the cars get more narrow toward the top, the same concept could be causing those spaces to look smaller as well; storage on the bottom, people space on the top where you may see windows on both sides. Also keep in mind that not all the cars are uniformly designed. They do need to be the same dimensions on the outside, but some specialized cars may be slightly different shapes, which may account for some (like the Night Car) looking like actual buildings on the inside, seeming to not narrow toward the top at all.

This still has to be my all time favourite series to this point. And thats purely based on how much I mentally and physically reacted to everything happening on screen. I couldnt help but feel emotionally connected from the start with many many characters. Snowpiercer will always get my support and love.

For me, the interiors of the series are better than the movie, because it explains where the first-class passengers sleep and where they eat, where is the engine controlled and they aded a second class. But the dimensions in some cars/sections are very ilogical. The only thing I miss about the movie it was more interesting types of coaches like the beauty salon, the sauna, the opium den or the swimming pool, they were interesting. But in the exterior the film surpasses it, because the machine looks like a very snowpiercer, with that sharped and aerodinamic design, and the coaches looked more aesthetic. While the one in the series looks like a normal passenger diesel locomotive from the 1950s and the coaches looked like military trains.

How does the subtrain cable car span the entire length of the train, when there are 1001 cars; meaning there are spaces in between so it can bend at a practical radius via railroad track? And is it a triple decker train? The inconsistencies in the dimensions always stick out to me but that doesn't take away from it being a great show (so far)

I'm just heartbroken that TNT doesn't have a way to access the program unless you have a Cable subscription. I don't have and can't afford that at the moment. But, they could hold more per car, like first class, they can hold up to 10 people per car which is 2 penthouses. 2nd class cabin cars could hold up to 6-9 people per car. And third class cabin cars would most likely hold up to 10-12 people per car, it is unknown how many rooms there are in the chains, but there are 2 penthouses per car for 1st class, 3 2nd class cabins per car, and 5 3rd class cabins per car. It is unknown how many cabins there are in total, but there are 334 1st class cars, 329 2nd class cars, 333 3rd class cars, and 5 tail cars. Also it is said that there are 400-500 tailies so there would probably be 80-100 tailies per car. If anyone does the math here like I did here mostly, then you would find out how many cabins are there in the entire train. (I got all of this from good replicas and the show. Mostly from the good replicas like real kireon a roblox snowpiercer developer) but that’s just my theory. Don’t hate on me plz. It’s ok if you disagree

I don’t get why Wilford didn’t just put a track in circle instead of around the planet. It’s a lot less dangerous. Maybe even 2 circle tracks so if one needs repair you can switch while they repair in the suits. Would have been also a lot more cheaper.

The train was originally designed as a pleasure cruise, and it would tour the world carrying the rich and powerful in perfect luxury. The tracks were built, and the trains were fitted, and then the whole world began to freeze, so the train got turned into an ark for the billionaires who wanted to buy tickets. Hope this helps!

In episode 3 the murderer from first is shown using some form of money called "tokens" with a Wilford Industries logo on it and there's a whole market on the train, so I assume there is some sort of class exchange when someone garners enough money.

I lived in Taipei back in the earth 90s and it was very dystopian. Garbage everywhere and stray dogs and cats roamed the streets. So noisy I wore earplugs whenever I went out. Better today. But it was polluted, overcrowded and you can’t go anywhere without people right up your face. Catching a bus was stifling because you could smell everybody’s sweat. I lived in a one room studio built on top of a six story building with no elevator and no kitchen or fridge. It was like living in the third class Snowpiercer but vertically. Hong Kong is worse. First class Snowpiercer is definitely the only way to do it even if space is a bit tight. Important to be clean.

Most important is that people get along. Antisocial behavior would make it implode. Asian cultures place a huge importance on good social behavior for this reason. They have high population densities so everyone needs to know social protocol. Unlike America where there is so much space, you can be rude and go away and never see the person again. In Asian societies you will easily see the person at the supermarket, train, bus, on the street again, or worse, they get hired to be your boss. Everyone is highly interconnected.

Ngl snow piercer sounds like such a cool concept but it definitely would've been more practical to move humanity underground and survive off the little geothermal energy left...But then again the class-divide message wouldn't be as clear so- Btw they should totally add a 'rainforest' style cart! Ik this is a prequel but I wonder if it will actually follow the storyline that leads up to the movie with this being the retelling of one of the failed attempts of the tail to take command of the train that was mentioned in the movie? Now I know that Melanie in the series is playing the part of Mr, Wulfred, and in the movie there supposedly was a Mr. Wulfred, unless the guy in the movie said he was Mr. Wulfred but in reality he was just someone who took over the train and assumed the identity of Mr. Wulfred, like Melanie has done. Personally with the series I would like to think that Mr. Wulfred is real and probably is in stasis and that Melanie was the one who organized her own mutiny and put him there and assumed his identity. I could easily see that Melanie was the genius behind the snowpiercer and that Mr. Wulfred was just the head of the company and assumed command of the train with the ice age and didnt actually know how to handle it and Melanie seeing this established a coup, and took command and put him in stasis. Then this series will unravel and we will see him potentially get freed and take command again and with him not knowing how to actually run the train as Melanie and her engineers knew, and he is the reason it was in such disarray by the time of the movie. But I guess we will have to wait and see.

You are mistaken, this is by no means a prequel to the film. It follows a different story taken inspiration from the film and novel.

No. I think Melanie along with a genius team all created The Perpetual Motion Train, etc. But she knows that the population would listen and obey a Man as an Authority Figure.
