I'm gonna be in Riga for the next 6 weeks and stumbled across your account searching for basic latvian greetings... And although I can only say good morning/day/evening and Thank you at the moment, and don't know any other words you're talking about... I had to watch more videos because of the lame humor that I enjoy! :)) hopefully I'll watch it in sequence and learn some Latvian as I might be moving here in a few months for work... Keep it up. You deserve more views.. If only more people wanted to learn Latvian language for some reason :P

Sorry if this sounds too stupid but how do you do if you want to say something like "to suck it out completely"? For example, emptying a tank or something via vacuum and making sure that everything is sucked OUT and COMPLETELY at the same time? Would you use extra words to describe the action in such cases?
@irregularLatvian4 жыл бұрын
Hey! Good question! You would say “izsūkt”. The same as with a beer 😅. And if you want extra extra precision. You can say “izsūkt + līdz pēdējam puteklītim” - to suck out until the last tiny speck of dust. And with beer again similar - “izsūkt + līdz pēdējai pilītei” - to suck out until the last drop The formula therefore would be “izsūkt + līdz pēdējam/ai + noun in diminutive and dative” Homework - what things can be sucked out completely? Kind regards, Irregular Latvian academy

@JimmyHumunukuapua4 жыл бұрын
@@irregularLatvian Well, we write phonetically, so sometimes "iz" changes to is, iš... depending on the sound after it, but it's very similar how we use it. And for 'izdot' we have 'izdati' ('dati' means to give) with a similar meaning (to issue, to publish, to betray...) Now I have to watch all of your videos and see what else is similar. 😁

Mr Kumasi, if you knew The Latvian language you would realize that the way she teaches and presents it is absolutely the best way to teach it. We get the pronunciations and the visuals which in the long run are critical to actually using it. Besides, there is nothing wrong with having some fun along the way!! I was taught Latvian in a regular classroom setting and I must confess, It could get quite boring and difficult to concentrate.
