I'm 62 and just returned from Muay Thai camp in Thailand. I have no intentions of fighting in the ring. But I still train hard 2-4 hours daily 6x weekly. It keeps me in exellent physical condition and a great sense of confidence. Don't let age be a reason not to practice Muay Thai !!!

I'm 63 and started Muay Thai at the age of 62. Now I did do martial arts for 7 years in my twenties so I had some experience but it had been almost 40 years since I last did it. 6 months in and after losing 20 lb I had my very first fight against a 37-year-old Australian. I knocked him out in the first round. Since then I've had three additional fights and I'm 4-0. They tell me that I fight like a 30-year-old which is very inspiring. I do not feel my age at all and I still feel like I'm in my twenties. I run twice a week but only 5 mi each time. I am in the gym 1 to 2 hours a day 4 to 5 days a week. I don't drink much even though I still smoke but I always get my 8 hours of rest so my body can recuperate.

I'm 24 years old and have had a crippling addiction to Cannabis since the age of 16 I have smoked daily and have recently made the decision I want to stop and get myself fit and pick up mixed martial arts, at times I think at 24 it's far too late for me to even start but seeing people in their 30s-60s getting started gives me a little more confidence and hope I can do it.

Agreed no limitation in terms of age when learning any kind of exercise to include muay thai and other sport fighting or other martial arts. To know first the gym is good to include how they train and the time schedule. A trial class is always good to test one time up to three or four times and so forth. I am very keen of martial arts since my younger days but not interested to be a fighter athlete just doing it as a hobby at the same time developing my career path in the working place now retired possessing more time for muay thai. I am now 69 joint muai thai class when I was 54 , and still visiting the gym once a week during these 15 years. Yes for sure I am not young anymore having lower speed than the younger days but that is ok, I am not going to fight any one, but do have the skill to protect myself, the interesting parts knowing more people, friends and good social life among the membership of the club, attending seminar, or muay thai boxing competition match, meeting more and more people. Other day I train by myself do light jogging in the morning play the skipping other warming up, do the shadow boxing and others therefore when visiting the gym just to practice my skill this is a lot of fun, thank you very much to all of the muay thai gurus to make me feeling good as I do. In addition good things and benefits no doubt keep me feeling fit and good for purpose. Thank you very much Combat Culture you brought up valuable insights regarding what sort of exercise to be done.....sawadikaarp🙏🙏
