You were a very good girl buying practical items you needed. Love the new fabrics. I've realized my fabrics, which I store on boards in my Calix units, feel like the books on my bookshelf. I know and love them all. I can't imagine using them all up. What is wrong with me??? Happy sewing and knitting. Starting my epp project hoping to get a cushion cover done before Christmas. 💟💜

Hi Kim, just enjoy your fabric and yarn, life is short, and fleeting. I'm 74 now and my Christmas Card list is smaller every year. ❤

@@linvin18 that's sad 😢 Please don't encourage me. I'm a lost cause! But I have no intention of changing! I think the way around this is moving to a bigger room. This will make my stash look smaller 🤭❤️

@@linvin18 thanks Linda. The show was amazing. It was especially lovely as I didn't think I'd be able to go. My fabric buying is out of control 😕😊❤️

I went to the Harrogate show last year, but not bothering this year. I went on the Saturday and it started off busy but then thinned out. I managed to get round in about three hours, but there was no booking of certain time periods. Had a bit of an issue coming home with a late train and almost missed my connection in Leeds, but managed it by the skin of my teeth. I just think it's a lot of money and hassle, paying to get in, transport, and then buying fabric, when I can order online and get what I want. We had considered a London trip to go to Ally Pally, but again decided not to bother. Over 100 items in your stash? I thought I had plenty in mine! I did stock up with some warm fabrics recently, as I seemed to have lots of summer fabrics, so that was my excuse! I haven't counted how many pieces I have but I would estimate less than 30. I have a discount voucher from Sherwoods, but haven't used it yet. The remnants seem quite good value. Love it when you said, 'hopefully that will be the end of it'! Hmmm!!

@@Yorkygirl59 I know what you mean it can be expensive; ticket and travel costs and time spent getting there and back, but for me, especially as I work from home, it's a day out, a change of scenery. I'm so glad I did it. I could have spent a fortune, but I behaved myself! Travelling from York is a long way though so totally understand why you didn't. I need to start planning a way to reduce my stash. Have a wonderful week ❤️

Delicious yarns and wool. I know this is a sewing vlog but would you consider, a one off sock knitting vlog, beginner friendly suggestions, I have knitted Christmas stockings, small and large on two needles but not actual socks, I have inherited some sock patterns along the way but they scare me! Also is your bunny wearing a new coat? Sorry I couldn’t remember her name 🙂 Glad you enjoyed your trip, I hope the shower room is going smoothly 💜

@@mandiesmaison458 I'll think about doing a sock knitting vlog, as I'd need to knit with a camera in front of me. I like a challenge. Not easy as I learnt when I was demoing EPP. Maybe I'll do something over Christmas when it's quieter and I have some proper downtime. Food for thought though. How eagle-eyed of you to notice Doris's new coat. All explained in Friday's vlog. ❤️

@@stash_stitcher Sorry for being needy, as if you have any spare time 🤔😉. I am currently attempting to knit the little frog that keeps appearing in his own videos, it’s quite straight forward but my mind has to be free, too much happening in my head for that, and it involves wire at some point, oh and your tiny needles, I don’t think I have ever used 2 or 2.5 needles! Hope you are enjoying yourself 💜

Kim, I love seeing your sock knitting. I’ve never knitted socks, but you make me think I should give it a try. I can resist the discount codes, but I’m a sucker for free shipping. If I see a discount AND free shipping, I think I have to order something. My stash isn’t big, but my sewing time is limited, so I have to be careful. Enjoy your week! 😊-Deborah

@@stillstitchin thanks Deborah. I only got into sock knitting last year and I'm obsessed. I'll have to plan a sock knitting vlog. Maybe somewhere around Christmas when I have more time and finish the numerous on-going projects stacking up 🤣😕❤️

Kim do you ever knit in elastic in the top ribbing? I like to keep my socks snug and find hand knit socks don't stay like bought ones. I do knit quite tight so it's not like my socks are sloppy and slack

@@bevtooth hi Bev. I've found if I use a German Twist cast-on the ribbing is snug and stretches to fit my ankle. After washing my socks the ribbing recovers well. ❤️
