I still can't get over that shit. Two timelines and a goddamn CANON WHAT-IF SCENERIO.
@juanluis21monsanto983 жыл бұрын
KINDA SPOILER I prefer the theory where because you change something in the past that affected the future, Link removed himself from his original timeline entirely, either that, or the ending where Zelda sends you even further back in time than when you got the Master Sword which is what leads up to Twilight Princess, adult timeline where Wind Waker happens, and a Link-less timeline . Either way, time travel is a mess, but a *What if scenario* I feel was avoidable.
@Morricker3 жыл бұрын
*SPOILER* Yeah, the "what if" scenario is weird. That is basically my head canon, link only has to go back in time one time in this game. So in my head canon the "link fails" timeline is actually just the timeline where he unintentionally abandons a timeline by going back to a child, altering some events, then going to a separate timeline in the future.
@Aoitetsugakusha3 жыл бұрын
Continuing spoilers Well, created two timelines, really. Timeline #3 won't be made until the conclusion of the story, when the princess calls BS on the Sages for basically putting you in an involuntary coma for seven years.
@juanluis21monsanto983 жыл бұрын
@@Aoitetsugakusha That's so weirdly specific that he simply isn't old enough to have the weapon. Sure, every other Link with a Master Sword is arguably of age, except Wind Waker, which even then, there are some interesting theories made that, the Master Sword in Hyrule Castle in WW is a Sheikah-made imitation, which could be the reason why it doesn't put him in a coma to make him older because it's not the real one.(Reason it being made, is that it's possible that OoT Link TOOK the Master Sword from the future back into the past when Zelda sent him back. Leaving no available Master Sword to use, the Sheikah made one acting more as a seal with none of the Evil Bane's traits until you get the blessings from the Earth and Wind Sage, that and the fact that WW Link wasn't a reincarnation, just that Ganon messed with the wrong child on their birthday.)

Ok I watched this live on Twitch and have some feedback/advice since you were getting really pissed off in Jabu Jabu’s Belly: 1. 75% of the time the item you need to use to solve a puzzle in a dungeon will by using the item you found in that specific dungeon. 2. Lock on more to aim and fight your battles. You were doing a lot of free aiming which meant you were often missing the targets. Navi will also fly off to stuff like switches allowing you to lock on and directly target them. 3. Use the dungeons map more, especially now you’re adult Link. Try and work chest by chest and this should help you progress and help avoid you getting stuck or lost. Good luck! 😀

It is SO mjuch fun seeing someone experience one of my all-time favorite games for the first time. Not a lot of non-Nintendo gamers cross over, let alone document their experience It's a shame Jabu-Jabu's belly is such a bitch, because it is, conceptually at least, one of the more unique dungeons in the series. That sad, I feel some of your frustration with the aiming system could be mitigated by Z-targeting more often. When Navi flies near an enemy and turns yellow, you can hold the Z-button to lock the camera on it. This accomplishes two things: 1 - you always have the enemy in sight, and 2- all your attacks, including projectiles will automatically be aimed at it. There is basically no point in using projectiles in combat if you're not Z-targeting. I feel a lot of your troubles in this dungeons, like the big tentacle and the Octoroks (what you call Oddishes) would be easier if you had Z-targeted from the start. make sure you're actually Z-targetting before firing though, you'll see a yellow ring around the enemy when it's working. I hope that helps and that you enjoy the rest of this adventure. The real epicness begins now. PS: Be sure to explore the towns at night when you get the chance

It's L-targeting, you have to hold down L to target in this version
@r3troassassin3343 жыл бұрын
@@cloudtune. Technically you are and aren't wrong. It is Z-targetting because Ocarina of Time came out on the N64, and you held Z to target. In the remake and other games you hold L. We just call Z-targetting because this was the first name and this is the origin of the targeting system so it is like honoring the original
@RinChan823 жыл бұрын
@@r3troassassin334 I still refer to it as Z-targeting as well (just feels weird to say L-target), but it's probably confusing for him if you call it that. So it's better to say L-target when giving him advice because he is playing the 3DS version
@joshz24913 жыл бұрын
Hey Dee, I'm not sure if you know this but I'm going to mention it anyway because it will help make your experience with the game's camera a little less frustrating. While it is true that you don't have free control over the camera like BOTW, you can use L targeting to fix the camera in whatever direction Link is facing, and speaking of targeting, it is honestly essential to religiously use the targeting system to deal with both the camera and enemies. Free aiming WILL make combat way harder than it needs to be in this game, and against bosses, it will get you killed. As annoying as Navi is, she is key to mastering this game's targeting system. If she does not come out and fly to the point of interest, Link is not close enough to target it. Yellow is enemies blue are people; Green means an Ocarina melody can affect something in the environment (those colors might be opposite ) if a music staff appears, indicating you must play a song you've learned for something in the story to happen. Second, a more detailed note on combat and working through dungeons. The former is explicitly designed in a back and forth style between you and the enemy, religiously using the targeting system to strife, attack, and defend. You will not be able to just freely slash your way through the game without targeting because camera positions depends on how much you actually push L. Now dungeons, I'm sure you noticed that these are much more challenging than BOTW. They are designed to test your awareness in the 3D environment, your memory, and your problem solving skills in far greater measure than BOTWs four dungeons ever do. Every dungeon has a map, compass, dungeon item, and boss key. The dungeon item is usually the halfway point to completion, and it is always necessary to complete the remainder of the said dungeon. As last note I highly recommend taking time to map your other two item slots. The game is much harder from here on out and having them all configured will save you a lot of time and tedious item switching. I hope this helps you going forward! It's fun watching you play. I just wanted to help alleviate your frustrations since I have been in every twitch stream and best this game at least five times 100%
@aozf053 жыл бұрын
I think he's playing on an emulator so using those other two item slots would be a huge hassle because he has to handle the mouse to do so. But I would also add that L targeting also has the effect of making the targeted enemy the only one who will engage Link in a group situation as long as they're targeted. This is by design to make such encounters easier to manage and is a huge help when fighting some of the enemies coming up as adult Link. Also, moving while targeting is incredibly slow. If you need to close the distance or retreat quickly, release the targeting and reposition yourself.

Deebeegeek is a good example of this, his history is with Playstation and Xbox, that's kinda what the titles entail, but that doesn't stop him from trying out some of the other games and having a blast with them regardless of their console, though my only concern is that he doesn't end up forcing himself on a game he might not enjoy. To quote Reggie "If it's not fun, why bother?" and that should apply to all games of all systems, including PC, and mobile, it doesn't mean you have to like every game of every console, we all have our preferences and reasons, and we deserve to enjoy what we like. It's peculiar how much your brain gets programmed around the kind of games you're used to, and as such has a harder or easier time with certain things. I was 13 when I played OoT the first time, and Jabu-Jabu was incredibly easy for me, but my brain was already fully immersed into the game mechanics and was focused on seeing the puzzles for what they were. Zelda tends to follow the same "simple" kind of logic in most games, and once you wrap your head around said logic then they all became fairly easy to play. I'm 36 now, and my brain has gotten used to completely different mechanics, and as such I find that the simplicity of OoT is now actually be difficult at times. Biggest tips I can give: When you get an item in a dungeon, use it on everything. It's usually the solution for like 80% of the stuff in the dungeon (like using the boomerang on the jellyfish in jabu-jabu stuns them so you can kill them without getting shocked/taking damage). Also, stop and look around. Going full steam ahead in a game heavily focused on puzzles will just frustrate you, so stop, and breathe, and really take in your surroundings. There's a lot of details you might be missing. And, as most people have already said, use the targeting system ALL THE TIME. The game mechanics are built around it, so it'll save you some headaches. Lastly, it's okay to get frustrated. Give yourself a break. Just stop and breathe for a bit when things get difficult, and just take in your surroundings when you do. It's a nice break, and you might see some solutions you missed. Best of luck! Also, yes, everything up until adulthood in this game was, indeed, just the "tutorial." This is when the real shit begins, lol.

This series really is a masterclass of how much the game builds on everything that came before and everything that you were trained to know how to do in previous zelda games. Seeing how DBG keeps getting lost and confused when most players who've done the older games know exactly how to fit in is actually quite interesting, because of the way it shows what actually IS in the game, and what's been internalized previously.

in a way majora's mask should have been named ocarina of time cause in ooT the only time traveling is done by pulling the master sword and placing it back, and in majoras mask the ocarina is used to travel back in time to day 1 of 3.

Just wanted to say thank you for all the fun your giving us and it’s great to reminisce on these old faves. I’m sure others agree with me when I say how much more depressing life would’ve been these past few months had we not been able to tune in to your adventures with Link. I know you probably try not to read too many of the comments so that you don’t come across any spoilers but, it was so nice to see so many here, being so supportive and not trying to tell you how you should do things (and i’m sure we all enjoy your way of doing things so much more - it’s certainly far more enjoyable, exciting and entertaining - and sometimes scarey, edge of your seat nail biting stuff!), but rather to try and save you endless pain and torment by suggesting you use Navi(+Dungeon Map) as a really useful directional aid. Pretty sure you could be a Navi God! Not using Navi I think is like having a controller with an important button you need busted. But, we love you doing your own thing (or I do) and will continue to watch and enjoy every moment of your adventures regardless. I know it can spoil your (and others) enjoyment to just follow the same old patterns and routines because it works for others and it’s so refreshing to see the majority of the community here just having fun being along for the ride. Everyone enjoys, and wonders what you’ll do next, because more often than not it’ll be something we hadn’t thought of or wouldn’t contemplate in doing. I do have a question though.... how do you keep all those Voices in your head - surely that is the real nightmare? Enjoy Ocarina... (your way!)
