Nothing else helped, unfortunately. But these are all solid tips to try first. Sleep feels so amazing. I never realized how restorative and important it was until I spent years going so many nights without it. I actually think I might have some cognitive issues that are permanent from chronic, severe insomnia. I definitely do not feel as sharp as I used to and this concerns me. I been on Keto for several months now, and have had minimal and sometimes moderate levels of sleep disturbances. This evening my family had a bonfire where we used skewers to cook various meats. It was so delicious that I overate,, and had around 16 ounces of protien and nothing else except a diet soda. I went to bed 2 hors later.. I fell asleep just fine, but after 2 hours of sleep I woke up COMPLETELY WIRED. I had no idea what was happening but was compelled to get up and I began pacing the floor because my body just had to MOVE. Try using a large fan on high. It will introduce "white noise" which can be better than silence. I use a water cooling fan in summer.

My ex actually finds it impossible to sleep without a small fan going right next to her head. Hahaha. She works as a nurse. I don't work - so I can never sleep regularly.

I have several of these problems. I worked night shift for 5 years, and even now that I’m back to day shift I’m exhausted all day but when I get home I’m wired. I don’t drink any caffeine and have been on keto for 3 years now.. Also my wife keeps a space heater running in the bedroom, even during the summer, because she is always cold. I can’t remember the last time I felt rested, and weekdays blur together until I crash on the weekend and end up sleeping for 12-18 hours at a time.

I'm an heart patient(clogged arteries) with a stent placed in my right artery and awaiting stent for left artery. I'm also suffering from insomnia. I'm on blood thinners. Could I still take that sleeping aid?

We have a dairy beverage in Iran and Afghanistan called “Doogh”. It’s basically water+yogurt. It makes me very sleepy. Maybe it has calcium and other minerals that make people very sleepy.

For me there’s No way can I sleep in a cool room , must be above warm / hot for my body to be able to relax enuff to sleep , even if I’m warm under the doona & blankets & the room is cool I still feel chilly & shaky ! If the room is cool I cannot let go & relax comfortably ! Cool room tenses ,stresses & keeps me awake 🤷♀️ I only sleep well , relaxed & comfortable in warmer temps of over 20* plus at night ! Everybody’s different 🤗 Any ideas here Dr ???

Hopefully you see this comment Dr. Berg, because my doctors cannot help me. I have bad pain behind my eyes, nausea and neck pain. I am not sure if it is related to an unruptured aneurysm. Can you talk about eye pain or aneurysms, and is there some way to reverse a bulge in your blood vessels? I do not want to get a cat scan or surgery.

I thought my fatigue was from not getting enough sleep. When I started taking vitamin D, much of the fatigue went away. I still have some fatigue, a wired but tired feeling, that's from lack of sleep.
