tbf the investigation team already had a "team outfit" in the form of their glasses that Teddie gives them. Same argument could be made for the original SEES bands so im assuming its just to spice things up and not a "every game going forward will require complete outfit overhaul" thing.

6:40 Link episodes seem to function like social links but they're time sensitive (if you miss the first one, then you can't do the next ones). In one screenshot, Junpei emails you about hanging out so they will be telegraphed. I'm excited for the Strega link episodes too. 13:00 How SEES members fill their Theurgy gauge depends on their "Personality" traits (which you can boost with dorm hangouts). For example, Junpei gets "motivated by his potential" when he lands critical hits and Yukari is "determined not to let others die" when she casts healing spells. 14:45 Yeah this generally happens when anime series/scenes are remade with more resources/budget. There's less need for creative tricks and so animators tend to choose the more clean, straightforward route. This isn't a big loss to me because most of the big moments are 3d cutscenes now but I do want to see how they handle the opening cutscene. 16:00 the last shot in the Iwatodai dorm trailer shows Fuuka, Yukari and Mitsuru with smile icons (they can hang out) while Akihiko just has a speech bubble so we do know not everyone will be available all the time. Also on the day before the first exam, you have the option to group study with Junpei and Yukari so presumably you can't go to Tartarus then 17:30 for ppl who didn't like p3's shuffle time, it's more like p4's system now where you just pick the card you want. The minigame was fun but as someone who got the hang of it pretty quickly, this change will make the tartarus grind a bit quicker.

I get the love for Liam o brien and all because he was my favorite voice in the original and his voice was so unique but Alejandro is putting his heart into this role and I can tell he really cares about it, he got a lot of hate for the role and even though the whole cast was directed and greenlit by the og voice director of p3 dub which is explained in faz’s video on the anime expo panel around 24:30ish if I remember correctly and he was so excited to be a part of this game just to be hit with waves of hate which is sad. Some have been respectful which is great cause those people are very mature but there have been some instances where things have gone to far. He even had to leave social space for a bit because of how much hate he got with some of the videos and announcements.

Yea, It's kinda sad to be part of the community when shit like this happens, I was part of the FF7 Community when people had meltdowns about Zack's VA getting recast, people are still complaining about it to this day, despite the new actor doing pretty well in the role, people can't see beyond him being a replacement. People just don't like change, they want things to stay the same, and there's nowhere you can see that more than when a character's VA is recast...

Zack just sounds worse than before, and that's what people don't like. Now, I'm not gonna say you're entirely wrong. There's probably some folks who honestly don't like change at all, but I wouldn't just group every complaint into the "they don't like change" excuse.

@@sword_of_dusk it didn't really get that bad until Crisis Core Reunion, where every comment section about the game is littered with plees for Rick Gomez to come back, I've played the game, Caleb Pierce is not bad at all, he brings a shit ton of energy to his role, he just sounds different from Rick Gomez, it's a different take on the character just like with Alejandro's Akihiko. The direction the VAs are given however.... some of the line reads across the game are fuckin' weird, as if it's still the PSP game, like the English Dub for Crisis Core Reunion is a mixed bag, but after playing it I grew a new appreciation for Zack's new VA, I Don't think he sounds worse at all... But that's also subjective I guess. You can't deny how much the community RAILED on Caleb. He's new to voice acting, honestly I can't comprehend how he got the role, but he's done pretty good with what he is given, and I feel like people should give him more credit.

Look I love kaggy and his voice acting. My favorite will always be shallot because I’ve been there day 1, and I love him as jing juan in honkai star rail, but hearing him as akihiko and the direction it’s going is just not it for me. People go “oh Liam’s voice for akihiko was already deep” but this version of akihiko with kaggy’s voice acting is just… too deep. It’s like the “too serious deep voice” is what I’m hearing. Every time I hear a new trailer with akihiko I just go “how is that voice coming out of akihiko’s throat and mouth”. This isn’t hating on kaggy for simply voive akihiko. Yes maybe there was one or two people on twitter actually hating on kaggy but from everything I’ve seen I’ve only read people comparing and critiquing Kaggys take on akihiko and the voice.

Honestly I'm really looking forward to it. The QOL features they're putting in will make it more enjoyable overall. P3 was the only persona I didn't replay, whereas I tried to do everything in 4, I tried to do a lot of the optional stuff in P2 EP and IS, and the Snow Queen Quest on my second playthrough in P1. From what we've seen so far, it's already a huge improvement.

The more i see of this game, the more I'm sure the $70 are deserved. I'm a total P3 simp, but now I'm even more convinced on getting this day one. The only things I'm iffy about is Akihiko's new voice, and the new version of Mass destruction. Other than that this is going to be the best remake of the best persona game.

For outfits, persona 4 already has glasses for each chatacter so i dont think they'd also give them new battle outfits if they remade the game. Theyve already got the glasses that make them stand out as a cast.

The new shuffle time is actually cool if you notice the arcana burst at the bottom. you can now draw major AND minor arcana cards. some cards give you benafits for your whole duration of exploring tartarus that night. For example you can get bonus damage on all out attacks. we dont know how it fully works yet but it sounds cool.

Honestly, i liked tartarus. Whatever they do in reload will probably be fine. But i dont get giving up on the game because of tartarus. P5 imo could be way more boring in some instances. Or maybe annoying is a better word. Stopping every 5 seconds for someone in my party to plainly spell out what each and every "puzzle" was, and which way to go when there was usually only one direction in the first place was sooooo annoying. Im pretty sure it made all of the palaces atleast twice as long as they really were. I like the dialogue in persona, but all of that was completely unnecessary and only detracted from the flow of the game. By alot too

I know it would be cool to have male party s links but I would worry that there would just be too many arcanas and too many to max out in one playthrough. On my first playthrough of P5 Royal I was able to max everyone without a guide and still have a lot of spare time, and I liked that in comparison to 3 and 4. I feel it's canon for the MC to max every s link. Of course, I think they'd be good s links and it'd still technically be possible to max them all but if it's too stressful to do without a guide it'd be a bit disappointing.

Disagree about the dorm being made cozier with new activities as such. This might be controversial but I rather liked P3's barebones, almost creepily empty dorm. Made you feel weirdly isolated, even though there were people around. I don't know if I want it feeling so... homey/fuzzy?

The only thing I'm afraid of is that they won't keep the Status Affect mechanics from Persona 5 Royal because it actually made the battle system actually interesting outside of finding weaknesses or criticals. At the same time, I feel like they'll just import those mechanics for a Reload re-release with FEMC and The Answer. Especially cuz enemies in The Answer could still keep the Dodge and Evade element mechanics.

My biggest issue with Reload is how big and empty everything is. It looks like they kept the environment proportions from the PS2 game while updating it visually. The worst offender is definitely the battle background scene, it's just a huge empty room.

I honestly dont understand why they changed voice actors. It doesnt mean anything narratively orthematically, and all of the original voice actors still exist. Its a weird change that can alienate some people for seemingly no reason. The new VAs sound good, but it still leaves me confused as to why make the change in the first place.

Not that those fanmade screenshots are bad, I love em, but P5's environment shadows still looks fantastic to this day and going from that to this is just... bleh... also yeah I share the same concern with the 2D cutscenes, OG P3 cutscenes goes so hard with its art direction. There's a reason why so far every P3 remake still has Burn My Dread OP. This is also my concern with ReFantazio, I am SO EXCITED for that game but I wish the 2D cutscenes looks less generic

It's unfortunate that Atlus put LGBT stuff in the game but it's not really their fault. If they want to grow as a company they're pretty much obligated to boost their ESG score to get more investors. At least they have integrity and just added a small LGBT pin on a random NPC and not made being gay all of a character's personality. Yes I know Macca was being ironic at the end but it is an issue.
