As a borderline prude, I actually think the female demons designs are really good. I’ve definitely seen more distracting ones in T games. Didn’t know they were prostitutes but it makes the designs better.

I know right all the complete compendium, completed side quest, and all the 4 endings all will be resetted. And you have to redo everything again

I always imagined that near the end of smt 1 law chaos heroes and mc all meet at the bar somewhere and have a chat with each other where chaos hero regrets his decision and law hero reflects on his situation and mc telling them that there are still friends .I'm hoping something like that kinda happens in vengeance .

To add to your argument, there was a teleport option that took you to the Leyline fount lol so saving has always been easy

Always felt like SMT V was missing a lot -specifically in-between each chapter when you return to the real world and it felt like there was a chapter missing between the 2nd and 3rd(demon-angel war) area

This feels like an Apocalypse version of SMTV. I hope the new path gets the plot on the same standard as previous entries... because we all know the Creation path is a plot mess. And about Apocalypse vibes, Massacre Ending Nanashi would certainly fit with the lore of both V and VV as a superboss. On the other hand, SMT had sexual looking and african demons before, both in main and spin off games. Have a noice day!

A lot of people, when vengeance got announced, went to glazing base SMTV like it wasn't getting fairly critiqued left and right when it originally came out. And now, with vengeance coming out, people suddenly LOOOOOVE SMTV...is this the "love hate" meme that atlus fans always mention

The african demons are not at all the first. For one, you have egyptian reps. Two, african demons have been in games like SMT 2 and Devil summoner, but it was a drop in the bucket compared to other lore, and most have never made an appearance outside of those games.

For me, the level scaling thing is an absolutely massive win, the most hype change of the bunch, but mostly in the other direction. Because similarly to how being underlevelled could shut you down regardless of your strategy or even your stats (looking at you, Zeus), being overlevelled could completely negate the challenge. This was particularly apparent in the True ending, since Shiva is lvl 97 and Lucifer is lvl 90 even with his new phase. Dealing with the level scaling can actually make Taito's open structure work and make late-game bosses challenging even on NG+.

Just wanna say that I think it's better to start with Cons and end with Pros, leaves people off feeling good rather than bad.

I preordered SMT V and really enjoyed it. Was I a little let down by the endings? Definitely. But the gameplay was great, and I had an amazing time customizing my demons and using the ones I like. I've also preordered SMT V:V. I'm not opposed to buying re-releases. In some cases, my dumb ass has bought essentially the same game 4 times. I will happily buy games that I enjoyed again. I know Atlus is getting pretty heavy handed with them, but they are still a company I have supported for years. I was so happy when SMT V sold 1 million copies, because it felt like one of my favorite series was getting worldwide recognition. Atlus isn't a small little company anymore, but I still want to show my support anyways. And I am so excited for Vengeance, I can't wait for the game to come out

This unique skill and team building reminds me of Dx2. Especially what they showed up in the video where nahobino fire damage grew exponentially with skills centered for a fire based team. I feel like this game is gonna be one of my favorites and that's ironic because the vanilla version is one of my most hated experiences but Vengeance is fixing so many things that I had an issue with. Been a while since I was this excited for a game!!

Agreed with the save anywhere being unnecessary. When you unlock the ability to teleport to save points on the original, the game lost a lot of risk reward for me. Hee-ho.

As I’ve never played any SMT game but it’s been on my radar I figured why not do the same thing I did with persona play in reverse order 5 through 1 and I’m glad I’m getting SMT:Vengeance out of them all and never bothered with the original SMT:V

hey Macca new sub here! im excited for smtVV, i bought the switch version and was honestly pretty disappointed with the first few hours and dropped it. recently ive been really wanting to play SMT after giving persona 3 reload a shot, and im so glad theyre dropping this game! i feel like this version will be a lot more interesting and new smt player friendly! def gonna play through smt 4 in the meantime though and wait for a price drop… atlus tends to do that (ps, rip your script that must really fkin suck)

I love V, a top game of mine, so I am very hyped for vengeance. Im glad I made the decision after the 2nd trailer not to watch anymore trailers. I think them revealing the new nahobino form was already too much of a spoiler, god knows what else theyre spoiling in these newer trailers. I completely agree with you on the save anywhere thing. Its totally unnecessary and I think I will keep to just saving at leyline founts myself.

Well, Egyptian gods are from Africa, too. Though, it is nice to see more African mythological figures in SMT.

I feel the same about save anywhere and leylines I also felt they were well spread out.

Honestly as much I also don’t like Atlus’s Day 1 DLC practices I would say this game’s is quite possibly the LEAST egregious version of it (recently at least), so idk I don’t think it’s wrong to consider it a “con” on the pro con list but I still think it’s an improvement even if it’s small and arguably “not good enough”
