I like how they say that it’s an advances recipe and recommend trying beginners’ recipes first. And then me who never tried making soap, the one just enjoying it on KZbin, watching this is like: Is it level 9000 recipe? 😀

Beautiful soap design and great instruction. I saw you on Meet Your Makers and thought your whale soap design was genius to incorporate glycerin rivers as part of the water spray. You deserved that win! Congratulations!! Also, loved the end where you’re “tuning” the soap cutter.

This was a super tutorial! I think it was very well explained, step by step and was very easy to understand. So much do that I think even someone who has made a couple dozen batches could do! Not a really smart thing to say, as I have years of experience, but if I only had a couple dozen batches done, I'd attempt it! I am a bit of a rebel, lol!!! The soap turned out gorgeous and the scent sounded perfect for the scene. She was kind to leave all the information in the description box. The tools she used look very well made. Gonna check that out for sure. Thanks Ann Marie for producing such a great tutorial! And to Roxanne for sharing her skills! Jill

Awesome soap with crystal clear explanation. The soap was really s work of art. Thank you for the recipe and step by step explanation. But it seems a lot of cleaning work afterwards and a lot of leftover soap.

@@bramble-berry but how could you adjust these for a different size mold? this is the part i find so difficult; to know how much batter to make for a particular mold (when using the scrapers) and then how much to use for each layer- any tips? Great tutorial!!!!!

Can I substitute all the oils and for one instead of all the different versions, for example just she butter (melted)
@bramble-berry2 жыл бұрын
No, you need a mixture of oils in order to have a useable soap bar. 100% shea butter soap would end up feeling similar to slime. If you'd like to learn more about how to formulate cold process soap, check out this article on our website: bberry.studio/FormulatingCP

May I ask what 20% discount means? Does that means that it is 20% lye concentration on SoapCalc? Sorry, I'm a bit confused lol

20% refers to the water discount.

It's very nice and well done, but it's why I don't do this kind of stuff...lot's of wasted soap between the black and the colorants. But I suppose the costs can be recovered by charging more for the soap.
@bramble-berry2 жыл бұрын
While this recipe does create excess soap batter, like Roxanne said, we think the leftovers work perfectly as soap samples!

Ann Marie-- I have 3 of your books (Soap Crafting, Milk Soaps, and Pure Soapmaking). So far, I'm a cold process person all the way (melt and pour on rare occasions). I'm curious, do you have a book specially for hot process? Or do you plan on writing one? I've been so afraid to try it, I guess its the possibility of a lava-ing incident, lol. Another good book idea would be one just for melt and pour.
