@@scoutandastir because she has flowers at end of her area and her purse there? They don’t take away from her doing her job….and that is she does not keep giving in to these defendants who keep going through the system for the same things or they’ve graduated to a higher level. Maybe she’s hoping flowers will bring a little sunshine to otherwise dismal lives. Of course I’d be surprised if very many even noticed them….too busy trying to work up some tears for a lot of them. There needs to be a little something there to try and forget about the man who comes through and is charged with SA on his own 6 yo daughter and then he blames it on her because she was running around in front of him without any clothes on….she’s a child. He says she kept “showing it to him so what was he supposed to do judge? Was just a finger”. He blames a 6 year old….his own 6 yo. The looking at it just got to him. So while I realize a courtroom is not a boutique…anything within reason to let you be able to just glance at something pretty and nice…..there’s enough ugly coming through there.

I love this Judge! She’s amazing. I feel DCFS should always do random visits and be professional about it. My neighbor was abusing her daughter, not taking care of her. She was drunk most of the time. She would crush and snort adderall and pain medication. Her daughter was always a mess. One year around December 23rd she still hasn’t put up a tree or bought her daughter anything and said she wasn’t going to. I bought her a small tree, ornaments and gifts. She was going on four so I got her a leapfrog. She wouldn’t help her daughter use it because she was too young! 🤦🏻‍♀️ She should have started teaching her at two. DCFS had a case open on her. They called me over to the neighbors house. The mom was standing over me listening to everything which was so wrong. They would also call her before a visit and give her a few days notice before they showed up. Never once did they do a random visit. They gave her time to hide the liquor bottles, clean the house and make sure her daughter had a bath. She did end up losing her about 8 years ago. It was hard talking to DCFS with her in the same room as she had recently threatened to burn my house down with my husband and I in it.

Omg! I thought the orchid thing was my idea lol! Had to take in my mom during Covid. She had just retired and had the initial “I can’t sit still” symptoms. I bought her an orchid and she got 4 blooms out of it! It took a few years but my goodness did it refocus her attention in life and soothe her anxiety. I’ve bought her like 10 more plants since. One started out about 3 ft tall. It’s touching the ceiling now!
