Well, my favorite is "Redmond Real Salt"... First of all, because the taste... It is invincible! Secondly, Baja Gold is way too moisturized, therefore it is almost impossible to use it by saltshaker... Finally, despite all kinds of tests, I am NOT sure that Baja Gold salt really does not contain any microplastics or any other impurities. The seas nowadays are so polluted with such things that I find it impossible not to have them in that product. This type of contamination has already been detected in the South Pole ice fields... Of course it is there in that bay too! My concern about Himalayan salt is simply that it goes through too many hands before it reaches the consumer, and it's not even "made in the USA", who knows what they put in it EVEN IF THEY SAY THEY DON'T PUT ANYTHING IN IT... After all, hunger for profit is great! So I think Redmond salt is the best choice. Although I would be happy if the magnesium content were higher. But at least it's the cheapest...

@Blueskies11804 ай бұрын
I’ve switched from Himalayan salt to Celtic due to possible un-authenticity after pink salt is sold to individual companies… I also love Hawaiian salt sometimes… What are your thoughts on Hawaiian salt?

Are these salts supposed to bring health benefits, or are they just better choices than highly processed sodium-only (NaCl) salts? Like, if I don't use added salt at all, should I start? Or is no-added-salt healthier?

But how much of these salts do you have to consume on a daily basis, to get a meaningful/useful amount of the minerals/elements?
@deborahburchfield63073 ай бұрын
We consume 3 grams in addition to what I add to meals when cooking. Recommended is 3-5 grams.

@deborahburchfield6307 yes but that's not what i asked. How much of the trace stuff does that actually provide and is it a relevant amount?

Could you tell us which salt has micro particles of plastic?
@danlbu3 ай бұрын
You need to look for non heavy metals base salt before you worry about that. Microplastics are in everything but good sun dried salt from ocean has actually shown to not have any microplastics
