Ryan Martinie is one of the most overlooked and underrated bass players out there. One of my favorite musicians. I loved early mudvayne mostly because of his bass. He's finally found where he belongs where he can showcase what he brings to the table. Definitely more artistic freedom with Soften the Glare.

@@DeadSideDad when I first heard LD 50 I flipped out wondering if I was listening to the greatest bass player on the planet. Literally moved me to pick up my bass again with fervor. I continued to dig Mudvayne lesser with each release as it kinda popped out but agree about LD 50 def a top album all-time largely due to Ryan. So glad I found this. He's amazing IMHO possibly on par with Jaco. I'll be jamming on this relentlessly and by tomorrow I'll be dusting off my gear once again

Bro, as a life long bass player myself, this sounds like the main theme started with a bass riff. Ryan has some great musicians to bounce off too. Having a guitar player that can write around complex bass lines with a less is more approach, and writing around a bass line is priceless. Great song by the way!
