lol more like half that. They are very common to find in Japan. Yes this one is in manual diesel in exceptional condition but a paint job doesn't warrant $10k more then what its worth. This is whats wrong with imports now a days Americans think a 25 year old pickup is worth what a new car is worth for Christ sake. 5 years ago you could get an r32 gtr for $9k don't forget that.

@WT : I’m with you on the pricing, especially knowing what they go for at the auction. I wish you could get them for under $10k, but you can’t, unless you import one yourself, which can be challenging if you’ve never done it before. I’ve heard many people getting burned by experience (vehicle arrived in worse condition than expected with additional fees that blow the budget). I’m just stating the reality of the overinflated prices on the novelty KZ-TE-equipped Toyota’s with manual transmission and locking differentials. Similarly here, stateside the prices on used “overland project vehicles” are higher than ever, so the values on Tacoma’s, 4Runners/GX470s, Land Cruisers/LX470/570, Sequoias and others are extremely high. I mean a clean 2005 Tacoma with 160k miles goes for $12k? That’s insanely high! Good for the seller, but not so much for the buyer. And no, 5 years ago you couldn’t get a decent r32 for under $20k. For $9 you get grade R car with questionable/nonoriginal odometer, filthy interior and rough paint. You could get a GTS-T Skyline with an auto trans for $9k, but not an R32 GTR. In fact, these days R33s a hot one and the prices on R32s that have been abused will be dropping. Anyway, please don’t get offended by my post, but you see what I mean if you keep track of these on Bring a Trailer. Peace!

bignalu808420 you’re laughing now, wait til you see the end of the auction and what it actually sells for! I really hope the market will be saturated with KZ-TEs in a few years so the prices will go down to $10-$15. I mean you can find one now in trashed condition for low to mid-teens, but it probably has a 2LT-e motor with a warped head (or one about to warp) from getting overheated.

I drive a 96 diesel surf 3ltr turbo It has now got 333000 miles on it. It's banned from London and lots of other European cities due to being a health risk and a contributor to Climate change, I've owned it 11 years and service it regularly, oil, filters and grease the undercarriage, changed the steering rack and a few minor pieces but overall its the same car, I've had a lot of cars both rental and owned but this is my favourite by a long stretch, its towed airstream caravans and taken trailers over mountains and plains. Drove to morroco and back from south west England. I call her the Lancaster bomber, nothing flashy but fires up on the button and you know you are going to get home.... No matter where you are. Top drawer stuff 💫

Hi, I'm considering a surf 3lt. I have absolutely no need to a big truck but I just love the look and have test drove one not long ago and fell in love. I love this model like anything .. I have one, but not maintained like this one .... But mine's engine is much stable than this one ... Its idle speed is 0.500, which should be 0.8 something, and you should remove colour stains from back seat window glass top, which is showing that this vehicle is painted somewhat .. Rest is Ok ... Love it .

У нас в штатах разрешают только машины старше 25 лет привозить так как они не годны к проверке по выхлопу и техосмотру. The USA never got a tonne of small engine diesels and they are hungry for them. I'd be surprised if this sells to any other country. I'd say the world market for diesels is still strong though. Most vehicles that come in gasoline and diesel will have a 50-100% price increase for the diesel.
