It’s been a few years since the Sole F63 has gotten an upgrade. As far as similarities, the previous model and the new model have very similar designs. They both have 3.0 HP motors that are quiet and best for light to moderate amounts of running. They both go up to 12 mph and have 15 levels of incline.
They also both handle up to 325 lbs of user weight. Both models are affordable and good for running. Their decks are 20” wide and 60” long to handle all running strides while saving you a little space in your home.
The construction is also covered with a lifetime frame and motor warranty which helps to instill confidence in their solid construction. They’re also easy to use and come with onboard workouts that don’t require a subscription or wifi to access.
The differences are a little bit more subtle. Starting with the console, the new F63 has received a little facelift that makes the console look a little more streamlined. The fan is below the screen but it is still pretty weak to use. The front handle is now one piece that gives you more surface to grip onto.
The new F63 doesn’t come with a heart rate monitor chest strap. Instead, the F63 can pair with a Garmin Watch for heart rate tracking.
Another change is the folding mechanism. While you still get assistance when lifting and lowering the deck, the system now has a foot release that you press with your foot to unlock rather than using the handle lever. They work just the same, and both models have 4 transportation wheels so they’re pretty easy to push around.
Overall, the Sole F63 continues to be a treadmill that we highly recommend especially if you’re looking for a good budget pick that is great for running.

I checked out the F63 and F80 at the local Dick's Sporting Goods store and the F63 tried to kill me. What I DON'T like - as an 80 year old guy - is the lack of speed and incline adjustment on the side handles. Reaching forward to the console tends to disrupt my balance and I wind up stepping one foot on the track and one foot on the side rail. It tried to kill me. The OTHER problem are those textured sleeves on the side handles. Feels good for keeping your balance, right? Except they slide right off as the track is pulling you backwards. If there were rocker switch controls on the side handles then that would keep those textured sleeves from sliding off. Other than that, you can't beat the value for the current $ 1,000 price. I like the nice bright display screen, too. But, I might have to go with the F80 even though it has a dim display screen. It has those big paddles to adjust speed and incline instead of me having to reach way up to the console to do that.

I run on a treadmill 5-6 days per week, between 6-8 miles per day, at a pace fluctuating between 6.0- 7.5 MPH. Is this a good treadmill for this type of running. I don't need a smart treadmil as I use my iPad with Apple workouts, plus I'm worried about the screen dying on some of the smart treadmills. Thanks.

I just put mine together but when i run there’s a knocking sound I’m 230lbs am i too heavy for it ?

No, pretty sure there is a breaking in period. Plus you are way within the limits so the thump sound goes away after a bit.
