You can see Dryden Vos in The Clone Wars 'The Phantom Apprentice" episode in a hologram when Maul gathers The Shadow Collective. It comes right after Bo-Katan nearly gets crushed by an elevator. Around 17:04 of the episode.

1:09:19 The short guy (no disrespect to anyone) on the desert planet was an ewok in episode 6, another character that was friends with anikin in episode 1, and reprised his ewok role at the end of 9 (with his real life son as the ewok's son) Im believe he played other roles in the series as well.

Lots to enjoy here. Alden does a fine job approximating young Harrison, and the effects and music are great. They forced it into theatres just a few months after "The Last Jedi," and most fans gave a shrug, and missed it. It deserved better in retrospect.

While some of the ideas for this movie were corny, like creating a poorly written explanation for how Han got his last name, I definitely think this movie was better than the fandom gave it credit for. Myself included.

I saw the first movie in 1977 at the age of 7. I think the six movies are enough. Apart from Rogue One and Solo, I think these extra Star Wars movies ruin the experience. I wish Disney would leave it alone and stop ruining it.

Joonas Suotamo, who started playing Chewbacca with Peter Mayhew in Episode 7 due to Peter’s health declining, wrote a heartfelt letter to Peter Mayhew saying that he was doing his role not just for Star Wars fans, but for Mayhew himself. Playing Chewbacca isn’t just putting on a costume. Peter created a real character with it. Alden Ehrenreich brought his copy of the Millennium Falcon Owner's Workshop Manual to set to talk about button sequences for a take off scene on the Falcon so it was correct on film. Harrison Ford didn’t attend the premiere of the movie cause he didn’t want to steal the spotlight from Alden. 10:02 that’s how he knew in Empire Strikes Back the Empire’s protocol about going to hyperdrive when they were hiding on back of a Star destroyer. 25:51 Ron Howard took over and shot 80% of the film after after Phil Lord & Christopher Miller were let go after creative differences with the heads of Lucasfilm. They learned from Episode 8 to change directors if they don’t stay with the story. 50:25 this is why the Falcon is always so temperamental. It’s L3 keeping her freedom.

Just to let you know, the original directors, Phil Miller and Chris Lord were firsd from the project as Kathleen Kennedy complained that it was too much of a comedy and not a serious action adventure film like the other STAR WARS films. She saw 90 minutes of the original cut and told them their service was no longer required.

This is my favorite "Star Wars" movie of the Disney era, and it's tremendously underrated. I think as time goes on, more fans will see it and its reputation will improve. It's a fun, fast-paced adventure story, a lot like the original movie was in 1977.

Sidious came after Maul when he was leader of Mandalore. He defeated him in CW. That was before the Empire. Then there was comics where Maul escaped the dungeon and he then started his way up in Crimson Dawn (not shown in CW). Not sure what happens, but he appears in Rebels, no longer leader of Crimson Dawn. So this takes place between those time periods. Maybe some book explains his time in Crimson Dawn, not sure.

Here's some cool trivia for you, L3 can and does speak as part of the Falcon. It is in the novelization of the movie. Also, the Falcon is actually a composite of 3 different computer brains. L3 talks with the other 2 when she gets uploaded. Just FYI, in the Aftermath novels, there is a part with Han & Chewie going back to Kashyyyk. It is real funny to me (not funny haha) how I think studios are just so over-reactive to any bad press & end up over-correcting rather than just try to stay the course & see what happens, but they just stop all their original plans out of fear. Sony stopped all their original plans after Amazing Spider-Man 2 lost money. Lucasfilm stopped all their plans after this movie did not do well. WB majorly interfered with the directors' version of Suicide Squad & Justice League after Batman V Superman lost money. I gotta admit, I am still interested in what the film with the original directors, Lord & Miller, would've been like if they were allowed to complete the film, even though I love this version of the film. I understand Lord & Miller had finished filming much less of the film than Zack Snyder did with Justice League. But, I think just like Justice League, I think if Lord & Miller were just allowed to finish the film as is & it got released, the film probably would've made a profit. But just like Justice League, getting rid of the original directors, then bringing on someone else to redo the film, is what exponentially ballooned the budget so much it never could've made a profit. There seems to be discrepancy reports on the actual direction Lord & Miller were taking. I mean, the whole part where Han meets Chewie the first time was Lord & Miller's idea & they reportedly took that very seriously. Lord & Miller also had the idea of Han being a maverick. I guess we'll never know. I'm not saying it would've better or worse, just that I'm more curious now. 1 of the new canon comics gives some more story to Qi'ra & Crimson Dawn. This is actually 1 of my favorite Star Wars movies that I think is highly overrated, but not marketed that well & came out a bad time of year. 1 of my favorite new canon Star Wars novels, Most Wanted, is the prequel to this movie. Qi'ra plays a much bigger role in that novel. The novel actually had a much better idea, in my opinion, the movie could've used as the origin of Han's last name.

This wasn't the last Star Wars film made. The Last Skywalker was. This film got a bad rap because it came out 6 months after that debacle The Last Jedi. People were still upset and bitched and complained about it. I think it is a good film. It's a shame they did continue the Crimson Dawn Maul story line. He is not a Darth any longer, just Maul. Also L3-37 is Phoebe Waller-Bridge. She played Helena is Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

Adding another comment I remember how C-3PO complained about how when he talked to the Millennium Falcon she was so rude sometimes. Well now we know why. I can’t recall if that’s mentioned in the movie but it was in the old legends books.

Honestly, in hindsight, this movie is better than fans give it credit for. Do I wish Lord and Miller were truly allowed to cook with this film? Of course. But honestly, I still enjoy this movie more than most.

Most people actually liked it, but it came out just after episode 8. Which absolutely destroyed the fandom. It was the beginning of the end of Disneys star wars.

This movie was based on one of three novels on Solo. The other two had more with Lando, Kyra, the Hutts and a bounty hunter you might know. Side note: Jane bought Justin’s chairs. I’ve seen it but never said it. If you want to know what that means, watch the movie Phenomenon starring John Travolta.

It's not directly based on the three Han Solo books by Brian Daley (written & published before "Empire" was released), but it's very much in the same style: Han & Chewie trying to make a buck and stay alive. After "Jedi" was released, there were three Lando novels by L. Neil Smith, set before Han won the Falcon, but with a different droid companion. "Solo" includes a few references to those books, too.

It is too bad this one didn't do well. I felt like it was a great origin story I would have loved to see continue...especially with Lando. But I think it was just too soon after the Last Jedi, which wasn't received well. Star Wars overload coupled with a very different kind of film, which was more of a heist than anything else.

Such a disappointing movie with an incredibly mediocre script 😞sadly normies always ready to consume any trash Han Solo grew up in the slums of a megalopolis that supposed to look like hi tech Cyberpunk city, and not like outskirts of an abandoned factory. He became successful criminal as only way to survive. Sincerely hated the Republic whose corrupt politicians turned a blind eye to Mafia on his planet. Was glad when the Empire took control and rid his planet of the Mafia. Voluntarily joined the Empire to help libirate other planets. Being an outstanding pilot, he took part in many battles for Empire and made many friends there. But one day when he was on a mission on the Wookiee planet he saw for the first time that Empire was doing the same thing as Mafia on his home planet - turning Wookiees into slaves. Rejecting his former life, ideals and friends he betray Empire and staged a rebellion and freed the Wookiees, for which Chewbacca forever became his devoted friend. And after all these events, he hated both Republic and Empire equally, and decided to become a lone smuggler.. what a cool story! what an interesting complex character! But instead we got a fairy tale for kids about cool idiot clown who doesn’t care about both Republic and Empire, who doesn’t really know how to do anything, who doesn’t even want anything except money, who accidentally met Chewbacca in the mud pit and for no reason they became friends.. and a dozen other random characters like Mother of Dragons who doens't even do anything for a story at all.

Ayep this movie was terrible, they butchered original story so bad, that's why it failed at the box office. And you right about Disney fans that consume anything without a question. Modern viewers have been taught not to think or analyze. Even a dancing monkey is already enough to entertain them.

This timeline makes no sense at all. Han was a grown man when Darth Maul was still alive and Anakin was just a baby so by the time Princess Leiea is born, Han is well into his 40s and when she's grown, then he's an old man. This movie was just slapped together in a drunken stoop and makes no sense.

It makes total sense. 1. Han was a baby during Episode I, (Han was born in 32 BBY the same year The Phantom Menace takes place). Maul was born in the year 54BBY, making him about 22 or 23 years old in Episode I. 2. Luke and Leia were born in 19 BBY that would make Han 13 years old at the time. 3. The prologue of Solo A Star Wars Story takes place in 13 BBY and the main story takes place in 10 BBY making Han 19 and 22 years old respectively. Han solo is around 32 years old when he meets 19 year old Luke and Leia in A New Hope. There is nothing wrong with this film when it comes to the timeline.

@@2apocalypsex I don't know the lore like you. but, Han was a grown man during the time of Maul and Maul got killed when Anakin was just a baby. This means that the whole time that Anakin is growing up and Leia was growing up, Han was getting older. Han and Leia can't be depicted as the same age, Han is about 40 years older than her.

This is after the prequel trilogy, obviously. Otherwise how would there be the Empire? Maul didn’t die in the The Phantom Menace, in case you didn’t realize, even after seeing him in this movie.
