That’s the problem with today’s audiences, though: rather than relying upon imagination, everything needs to be spelled out. Prequels just aren’t all that necessary.

This trailer is MUCH better than the first one. That being said, I still have very little interest in this movie. The actor playing Solo is in my opinion very miscast it's like I'm watching a bad impression. I really don't know if I'll see it I'll probably wait for the reviews but i have no urge to go see this. PS really Disney? You teased us with a Chewie death.... before the original trilogy takes place?

Actually, Chewbacca still has a family. If you haven't read them, then tough luck for you. He rescues them in the Aftermath novels that are part of the new canon. At the end of the third book he stays with them on Kashyyyk.

Firstly, I think the trailer is good, but my standards could be low. IMO the 'issue' with the Solo movie is a lot of people are going to the movies to mainly see Glover. I remember when Glover was announced to play Lando and Glover was the top trends on Twitter and Facebook, however Alden press was cold. If the co-star over shadow the lead then maybe Disney should make a Lando movie for theaters or on their new streaming serve...

I was on the should've just given Lando a movie instead train but funny enough it's this trailer that kind of changed my mind a bit. Don't get me wrong I still want a Lando movie but with a Lando movie I picture more of an urban noir style story set somewhere like Cloud City or the that cyberpunk looking environment from Episode 2 as opposed the frontier western style vibe of Han Solo and seeing this trailer play up that vibe puts me more on board for this Han Solo film.

I think Anthony Ingruber does pretty good Harrison Ford impression beyond just the look. It’s no indication of acting ability of course, but I thought those impression videos were kinda ok! They are not audition tapes as Double Toasted has suggested but a series of impressions of different actors done quite a few years ago. Check them out. 🤓. There’s nothing in the trailer that makes me think that it’s “already better than TLJ”. But then again, I’m one of the folks who is actually fine with that movie, so what do I know? I think it’s a fine continuation, no more, no less. That being said, I agree that this looks like it could be a fun little adventure. It doesn’t look like it’s trying to fill in a major story gap in any way; just a fun little write-off, that so happens to be about a young Han Solo. But I gotta admit I’m still not sold on Alden Ehrenreich. He seems wooden and charmless in the role. A “Lando” movie would’ve been an interesting movie I think, considering we’ve barely only had a movie and a third to really get to know him.
