Thank you Julia. I would add more think to cons. If you got sick or something happens to you, it would be nice if someone is with you. I experienced this yesterday. The ambulance took me to the ER here in Bali, and it would have been really nice if someone was with me.

I totally agree! Probably something that most would not think of until you were in that position.

Brilliant information and advice. I'm 61 and a nervous solo traveller. But I'm trying to do 'small steps'. So really admire you as an inspiration. Many thanks and best wishes.

Trade the nervous and learn as much as you need to feel more comfortable. If that fails, meditate through it, lol. 😂

Excellent advice. “Don’t let fear stop you from living your life. Don’t listen to anyone without a passport or stamps in it. Take baby steps toward your goals.” Terrific wisdom. Appreciate your perspective.

Thank you for the pros and cons. I have been traveling alone for several years. Never out of the county, but on mission trips when I didn't know anyone. I have always made friends along yhe way.

I've travelled alone for over 20 years: safari, spain, norway, etc. I think the pros outweigh the cons. I choose to be on my own: time for me to reflect, choose to go where & when I want..

How awesome! I wish I would have started years earlier for sure.

I heard "you don't know what you don't know" years ago in a group setting and I thought that was ridiculous until it dawned on me what that actually meant (probably years later). LOL. As a single person, I want as much motivation and 'been there done that' from other solos so I can feel more secure about getting out there and traveling. Traveling around the US has been very time consuming, and expensive, but strangely I never felt scared. Thanks for answering 'our' questions!!

I am sure it’s a quote that I have heard. I agree that it has become very expensive to travel within the US. And I usually stay in the woods for days at a time. You can do it, we all can do and pursue what makes us happy. 😊
