Hey!
This week Gigi and I took a little D-tour into London ;) I wish I could have stayed here longer, but the parking laws change during the working week (sadly), but I had a great time, despite doing nothing that I planned to do whilst I was there haha 😭😂
lots of love
Ame & Gigi 💃❤️
If you're new my name's Ame and I live in my van full time with my dog Gigi - At the moment I'm stuck in the Uk after a necessary MOT and some other things... I'll be returning to the EU very shortly (hopefully), but for th mean time I've been staying on my Grandpa's drive whilst I organise my life!! Check out my other vids for more info.

Tip from an old mechanic when I was young... A long time ago. To find leaks in vehicles (was a common problem in cars in the '60's) - draw a series of parallel horizontal chalk lines across the suspected leak path - when water drips through there will be gaps in the lines. Usually takes a few goes to zero in on the cause but it works.

Glad to hear I’m not the only one either. But, I’ve often wondered why it’s called a “crisis “. I refer to it as an “existential analysis”. Just because I’m thinking about life and about something different and perhaps unexplainable and unreachable...un-everything doesn’t mean it’s bad. You know? Not sure If that makes sense.

This girl is only 21 years old and more mature than many adults will ever be. This journey, which now lasts about three years, from the self-building of the van to the first trips through France, does something to a person, it strengthens them, broadens their horizons, makes them self-confident. Why should that be narcissistic, as some people write here? In my eyes, this girl knows more about life than many, many others. For that she has my full respect. I wish I had been as smart and brave at that age. And yes: she is pretty, and she certainly knows that. So what! Anyway I, as a visual person, delight in beautiful things and human beings. This world is ugly enough at the moment.

Thank you for your extended video, I hope we get more of these longer ones, some of your earlier ones were quite short, and after the binge watching to catch up, this longer one revitalising old memories for me of around central London was pretty cool. The way you sit, self express and analise circumstance(s) and life I can so relate, I did so chuckle as you conveyed similar thoughts I often have, as you sat in the deckchair in the park. Had to laugh too at your fallback on - The Genuine English Pub ! 🙃Left you a couple of messages at your first vid, but I guess you don't go back and necessarily read those - life move forward right. lol. Anyway, dropping a comment here perhaps you'll see this one. Am looking forward to your next video already. Stay safe out there. Cheers from NZ. M 🇳🇿

Well done Ame! Another beautifully crafted video with lots of interest and diversity. So lucky not to get a ticket or even be towed She who dares wins. Love the 60’s look, you pull it off so well - straight out of an Austin Powers movie.

Tip: I travel in a motorhome for 6 months out of the year and I use PeePee Pads for my 4 year old Yorkie and 9 year old chihuahua when they need to go potty in the middle of the night/early morning OR at places that I’m parked and they have nowhere to go potty. I then use Doggie Poop Bags to pick up their poop and discard it in the trash. I absolutely love your beautiful little GiGi! She’s soooo sweet. My Yorkie’s name is Kallie and my Chihuahua is Mitz. Kallie is a little girl, too, and weights about 4 pounds. She is loving and cuddly just like your GiGi. I had to return home early this year, because Kallie started having breathing issues and her Vet discovered that her trachea has collapsed. She is now scheduled to have surgery on her trachea next month. Until then, she is on medication to reduce the swelling in her throat so that they can perform the surgery. I didn’t know this, until it happened to Kallie, that small breed dogs, especially Yorkshire Terriers, are most at risk for developing a collapsing trachea, so, us Yorkie owners, have to be careful NOT to pull on their leashes and we should NEVER, EVER wear collars on them OR restrain them by their necks, while being groomed!! Like you, I have ALWAYS used a harness on Kallie and Mitz and I have never used a collars. From now on, her groomer will not be able to restrain her by the neck when she’s being groomed. Unfortunately, trachea collapse occurs mostly in Yorkie’s because it’s in their genetics and Kallie was unfortunate to have it in hers. Right now, under her Vet’s strict orders, she cannot run, play, get over heated (and start panting), nor get excited, because it increases her breathing, causing her to have breathing problems, which could cause her to faint and possibly die. She actually sounds like a honking goose when it happens and struggling to breath. This all started so quickly, in a matter of weeks, and It’s soooo heartbreaking to listen to her struggling to breath! I’m soooo worried about her, but the Vet reassured me that, with her young age, she should do just fine with the surgery. They think that she may only need a stint, but once they go in and see how bad it is, they might have to use rings as well. They will put the stint in her throat and open up her airway and she will be as good as new and live a long life. I thank God that I’ve purchased Pet medical insurance for her when she was a puppy, because the surgery is going to cost between $8000-$10,000, especially if she requires the rings in her chest and they have to open her up. If it’s just the stint, they put it in through her mouth and won’t have to open her up. The Pet medical insurance will cover 90% and I have to pay the other 10% and a $200 deductible, which is nothing, considering the cost of the surgery. To anyone reading this, that owns a small breed dog, ESPECIALLY A YORKIE, NEVER wear collars on them or pull on their necks when walking them AND DO NOT let your dogs groomer restrain them by their necks! Anywaaaay, I Love watching your channel, Ame, and seeing familiar places that I’ve, too, have travelled to and camped in! I travelled all over Europe in a van, too, for 4 years, a few years back and I absolutely loved it. I sold it before leaving Europe and returning to Canada. I’ve since upgraded to a motorhome with all the comforts of home, however, it is much HARDER to get around in, so, I now have to tow my Jeep behind my motorhome to have something to drive once I arrive at my destination. I miss the days when I was younger and had my old blue Dodge Ram camper van that I had to travel/live in, but as I’m getting older now, I enjoy having my big Newmar Ventana motorhome and all its comforts of home. Looking forward to watching all your videos! Enjoy your travels and stay safe. ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦

Such an enjoyable watch. I watched when you hated arriving in London and then to see you slowly fall in love with it with your adventure was really lovely. Made me realise I’m not alone with my love/hate London relationship…I also put a deposit down on a camper van today, so hoping to have similar adventures! 🙌🙌🙌 I also loved your existential crisis in the park. Your videos are great ❤️

Loving the videos Ame, have you managed to track the source of the water leak? I had a Land Rover with the same issue and it turned out to be a blocked drainage runner up top, also it could be worth checking that the door seals aren’t perished. On a separate note, I’m hoping to start my own van life towards the end of next year , I need to save for the perfect van for my doggo and I! Safe travels 🙂

Hello Ame! I am super glad you avoided the Porsche that was careening towards your van. Glad you are safe. Thanks so much for the tour of parts of London. Very much enjoyed coming along with you. London is on my list of cities I want visit one of the days. I appreciated the 60’s vibe and your sense of style. I kept thinking about Petula Clark and “Downtown” all during your video. You do a terrific job with the creative aspect of your videos and I really enjoy your authenticity. Keep the faith and stay positive. Good things happen for good people. Looking forward to your next video. All the best, Guy from Nashville.

Hi Ame. Great observation about kids. My daughter is full of imagination. Love it. I am not sure that she will ever conform. That is what I love about my corner of Berlin, the variety of craziness & creativity, sometimes over the top. This in a mix of an intercultural soup. Thick walls come down in the graffiti. Anyhow, stay young, live out of the box, free spirit. Thanks.
