The simple answer is that unless it is a boutique builder then all the Building Inspectors are directly employed by the house builders. The good ones, that ensure standards are met, don't stay employed too long and are replaced by inspectors who "toe the builders line" and make sure no problems are reported.

Agreed. Been there done that. Didn’t like what I saw going on and I was quickly ‘managed out’. Don’t upset the apple cart and you’ll be fine in the house building game. If you have a moral compass, it’s not for you.

I think its at 800mm due to the requirements saying it can be at 750mm to 1200mm above the ground? Lovely video mate and yea i agree flappy pockets are very annoying so ill be investing in a removable pouch for bits 👍

Should the grid CT always be wired? Myenergi says Harvi should not be used for grid CT, so why would this set up be any different? Genuinely curious as I have this problem with my own set-up.

It's low because some customers want the charger out of sight for security or aesthetics reasons.

Regarding your comment on the Octopus Intelligence tariff Adam et al - I’m on Octopus Intelligence Go with my S&P 3-phase charger albeit only charging an VW ID4. Took a bit of tap tap taping around the various apps however I’m now smart charging for 6.5p/kWh between 00:30-04:30am. Have also got 👀on each phase on my 3-phase supply through the S&P app. Worth it. I did have EV ultra installed so Cat5 was already in place with my installer doing the necessary for CT coils. Can’t wait for Octopus to fully adopt S&P chargers!!! No earth rod though….
