Some knitting advice on substituting different yarns | knitting vlog ep. 24

Here’s some advice and knowledge I’ve picked up on how to substitute bulky weight yarns with other non-bulky weight yarns :) I knit everything on 8mm needles and got gauge at 10 stitches x 16 rows. Also a little advice on how to deal with your gauge not quite matching to pattern (how to size up, down) and talking about the price points of the different yarns!
Any advice or tips is greatly appreciated!

so helpful! its honestly hard (for me) to find sweater patterns that are the style of bulky weight sweaters but with lighter yarn, so this will be my go to when trying that out. love the fingering with the two mohair!

I love vacuum sealing my yarns to save space. It keeps the yarn safe, clean, and fresh. 😁

that fingering weight + two strands of mohair might be the move. big twist has a new (ish) fingering weight yarn that has some cool colors and there is some pretty cheap mohair alternatives out there. youre giving me a lot of ideas....
