Thank you Sir. Trichy is my hometown and listening to your video clips makes for great nostalgia. I thought I should add a couple of points to your narrative. Reg. the statute of Queen Victoria at the Coronation Park - I remember a time (early 1970s) when the statute certainly used to look like Queen Victoria. No vermillion mark, no flowers, no puja. Also, Sir, I understand that the present Main Guard Gate is the only surviving one out of five or six similar gates. I understand there used to be a wall running right around the old city. There is an old book in St.Joseph's College with particulars of the missing gates and the wall. Sections from this book were copied onto the annual diary published by the Trichy Chapter of the Builders Association of India several years ago.

In my childwood i grew Up in Trichy. My family was stayed near Rockfort area. Since i was small boy, i forget the locality name. But very recently i visited Trichy and went to vayalur Murugan temple... Beautiful city Trichy ...

Very informative. Just a request Sir could you please make a video on the Pallavas. I guess they are the most underrated in history given that current tamil script is derived from the Granta script developed by them, the gopura style temple architecture And they were the first of the lot to trade with the south East Asia and China.
