Prince: locks up hundreds of outtakes in a vault, then dies Louis: posts hundreds of outtakes on KZbin at 4am, then makes more outtakes The choice is obvious.

Prince: Groomer, made one musical alter-ego but had a bad acid trip and canned it, went through backing bands like a bull in a china shop. Louis: Groover, has had a musical alter-ego for going on a decade, is still working with the same people he was with when he started his career.

There are no (or no longer) B-sides or Deluxe Edition bonus tracks. There are still singles, but anyone of the released tracks are potential singles to someone in the weird part of the night (or day, depending on geographical location). It’s almost 7 am here in Central Mexico, I got up an hour ago, and this release hits me just right. Good god, this is jazz! ( 5:17 End of the Night) I didn’t even know I needed some jazz this morning.

hi Mr Cole, i don’t know if you’ll be able to get around to seeing these comments but i just saw you at glastonbury. i have loved watching all the big massive people and i really have, i watched your band and just loved every f-ing minute. I had a big fat smile on my face. i’ll get to my point. 1. usually when i hear jazz chops it bores the shit out of me. But your band was just so mental the virtuosity just complimented the music and built on what was there. So i loved hearing the other musicians. 2. I thought it was clear as day that you love your guys, and letting them shine like that i think is great and you know, some not all but some acts weren’t really about the ensemble. 3. That one with the angry triplets, fucking love that. I made think of that mingus canon track but on speed. So there you go, a fan ranting at you. But you all brought significant joy to my soul. And i’m so glad i sacked off the pyramid stage to find you. Bangin’ best wishes
