I am a pastor's wife also. My husband and I met at a Bible College. We had many friends that were also pastors and wives that we went to school with. We have discussed how we wish the college would have had a class or forum for us when we were young to prepare US for our role. It is still needed. We have semi-retired and my husband is not serving as an associate pastor in a church that he pastored 25 years ago. Our pastor's wife was a lttle girl when we first met her and we also watched our pastor grow up. It is such a joy to have an opportunity to support them and encourage them in the ministry now. Only God would have thought of that! :)

Oh my goodness! Are you doing this on top of your ministry in the church as pastor? I know both are really full time jobs. I have to admit that when my son told me he was surrendering to the ministry 30 years ago, I cried. I cried because I knew the hurt and heartache that can go with ministry. I didn’t allow him to know that but there was a grieving period. I pray for him and his family, and I’ll pray for you. What you and your husband are doing is a much needed resource, and I know it will be a blessing to many. Thank you for your sensitivity to God’s calling. May God give you a double portion of blessing as you minister to ministers.

Yes...my husband went to school there in Wake Forest and we both worked in Raleigh for a time. That area is changing so fast and when we were last there, we couldn't believe the growth. A friend from church recommended this video to me and it is so timely! I was called to ministry in middle school and have been in full or part time music/youth ministry for the past 13+ years. I’ve been the Music Director at our current church for 7 years and my husband was brought on as Assistant Pastor (volunteer) when we got married 4 years ago. God moved our Sr Pastor to a Pastor a new church in another state and my husband is now the Interim Pastor with hopes that he will be voted in as the new Sr Pastor.
